SPEED BUMP - FREE!!

I was shy, introverted, scared.

I suffered through school as the "weird" kid.

I had a dream and I'm realizing that dream now. What I want next, more than anything, is for more people to "read" me.

That "ugly duckling" grew up to write from her heart. No rules. No fear.

I'm "getting the word out" - FOR FREE!

If you don't have an e-reader and would like a free PDF to read on your phone, tablet or PC, send me a message!

Ask the Author!

Thank you, Keith Rogers, for your questions! My answers appear below :) If you have a question for me, I'd love to hear from you!

Have you ever experienced a long term writer's block?
If yes, how did you adapt and overcome this block?

I suppose the short answer is "no" because I have never experienced "long term" writer's block. The story is usually already in me, waiting to see ink. Like any other writer, however, I have experienced moments when something "just did not feel right" and I had to ponder on a certain word or ponder on the perfect scenario or scene, for a particularly odd amount of time (a half hour or so.) The moment I get up and walk around and let my brain "relax", the idea or right word, presents itself to me.

However, coming up with the premise for "The Promise" was very difficult and a sort of "writer's block". The reason for that is that I never intended, part 1, "The Christmas Store", to be followed by a sequel. That story is a time-travel romance/suspense and because of the "magical" factors related with time travel, I had no idea how to even begin writing a sequel. All of the loose ends in book one were wrapped up. (Or so I thought.) My readers really wanted the story to continue, however, so it took approximately a week (and several sittings brainstorming with my husband) to come up with a way to make it work. I'm thrilled to say it did and I'm so happy that "The Promise" was born. Thank you again, Keith!
