Nicole has been a multi-genre author of over a dozen books for over ten years.

She’s best known for her books, The Divorce and The Affair. She delves into sensitive and real topics, such as in her title The Love That Hurts, which explored domestic violence with the hopes of giving victims a voice while exposing the red flags of an abusive relationship.

Nicole lives in Virginia with her family and one old, tubby Pocket-Pittie. When she isn’t writing, she works as a professional tarot reader and astrologer known as Nikki the Solitary Witch, and crafts table and shelf art from upcycled books under Nikki’s Craft Corner.

She is always reading or working on the next book between mommyhood adventures.

I'm beyond honored that you took the time to read my work and even more ecstatic that you enjoyed it! The Divorce was one of my favorite stories to write and it launched a series about the awkward and difficult road that is 'human relationships'.

Do you know why your books aren't grouped correctly on Goodreads and Amazon? It makes it hard to understand the series order. Also, will there be a sequal to the Co-Parent or is that the ending? Don't the MCs have to end up together inorder for it to be romance? Maybe that's why they aren't linked together?

The order of the books is definitely out of wack on Goodreads. I intend to get a hold of a Goodreads librarian.

As for the ending, the result is in the title. "The Co-Parent." If they ended up as a couple, it would defeat the dynamic of the story I was trying to tell. They would just be parenting. Each book in this series is dedicated to real life scenarios that people face in their relationships. I never want to sacrifice the relatable realism. Some of these stories will end with a traditional success, and some won't, making them more individual to the readers and their own personal lives.

The story is about their romance, which results in a child, but not a lasting sort between them. It is now transferred to the child, by being co-parents and their best selves for her.

However, the book does have what is called a "Non-traditional" HEA. Remember, the face of romance changes with our time. Where in historical romance (original romance), a happily ever after would require a guy or the perfect relationship, now, the more common outcome is self-acceptance that will lead to the right person. Instead of settling for the potential your mate has, it's about either loving them for who they are or having the strength to move on.

Where my female lead has found her fulfillment in continuing to further her education, her career, and being a mother. I hint at a possible romance as well.

Gabe is actually in a rebound relationship, built on his desire to grow, but growth can't be forced.

In the end, I do plan to give Gabe and Brianna another book down the road, but not now. The upside is, The Co-Parent will be released in a second edition at one point with a Q&A from me covering the most common questions, especially this one, in more depth. (less)
