Hot Tub Cast™ 08: The Ladies of Podio Racket

Direct link to episode.

Yes, I had the honor of sitting down in the virtual hot tub this week with the two lovely ladies of Podio Racket and the two Podiobooks-pro podcasts there: the bi-weekly half-hour roundup Raise A Racket and the Blogtalk radio live interview show! Thanks to Heather Rhoulo and Rhonda Carpenter for the great work they're doing in the community and for coming on this show!

**This is a GREAT podcast for you new podcasters who're looking for ways into the community, onto...

Holt Uncensored up and #platformchat coming!

Pat Holt, pre-eminent publishing maven and overall chronicler of the domain, has just posted the first of two pieces about yours truly over at her blog, Holt Uncensored. I read this regularly, so I'm very happy to be included in her thoughts on the industry. I read one of her posts this summer about Paul Harding's book Tinkers, and she couldn't have been more dead on. Not only did this book break every mold publishing can offer, in addition it's also a truly wonderful book.

In any case, she's ...

Hot Tub Cast™ 07: Dan Sawyer Interview

This week I'm teaming up with none other than East Bay podcaster Dan Sawyer to throw down some facts on how we roll, how much you want to keep big hair out of the Hot Tub, and what it's all about with podcasting your way to publication. Dan's one of the best podcasters out there and a super big-time technical wizard when it comes to the audio production. Listen in to hear about his "Wall of Sound," the multi-actor fiction podcasts he's been putting out, and how he keeps all of these things...

The long, quiet, good day

So this is where I've been: Boston, Cambridge, New York City. All in the last weeks. I celebrated my 36th birthday.

Now I'm writing every morning to make This Is Life as good as it can possibly be.

I've got about 90,000 words of the draft and many of them I haven't looked at in over a year. This is the good, but also the bad. The good is there's plenty of work to do here, many mornings to fill with revision, reading, marking up printed sheets and putting in changes. Yes, I'll be revising this...

Hot Tub Cast™ 05: The Cold Tub

That's right: Cold Chillin'! That's what I've been up to. And here, I take a minute to stop in and actually talk about that with you. Can you feel the relaxation coming across?

Direct link to podcast episode.

Today I talk about: the future of JACK PALMS II, the tub itself, J.C. Hutchins, Scott Sigler, James Melzer, Mark Jeffrey, my wife's back, my classes and lots lots more.

Hear me wax poetic about my view of The Bay, splash my feet around, and speak the word on the late-summer simmer.

Enjoy!
