Why am I putting my work out as free audio content?

Basically, I'm a young author and I'm trying to build my name in the business. I've been giving my work away for three years now for people to enjoy it. This relationship and fan base has directly helped me land a publishing contract with Random House for my first novel, JACK WAKES UP, which came out in May.

Generally speaking, if folks know and like my work, I'm betting they'll spread the word and it'll lead to book sales, a career, etc...

Though I usually do my thing with a recorder, Tom and I talked strictly by email. Here's the...

Holt Uncensored Spins Part II

Yes, back a little while ago, Pat Holt wrote a little DIY ditty about yours truly and my road to publication. Now she's back with Part II of the column, What To Do When the Mainstream Yawns (and Spends)

In this one, I go head to head with a huge Dan Brown party that Random House (my boys!) threw at NYC's Gotham House! They had Lobster BLTs, Bellinis, waiters in George Washington costumes, and the mandatory coke off of women's breasts in the men's room! Ok, the last part isn't true.

Pat goes...
