REMINDER: MASTERCLASS TOMORROW! (1/3/23)

Taki and I are thrilled to present one of our favorite subjects: CHARACTER. How to create and write characters that other people identify with and root for. Also, how to write complex yet understandable voices. It’s obviously the backbone of writing with a lot of fascinating variables.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STAN!
Today would've been Stan Lee's 100 birthday!
By the time I had met Stan as a professional comics person he was already in his 70s. Though we were not close pals or anything, he was always kind and supportive to me. He is still the author of the best personal email I have ever received.

On the occasion of his passing, my pal George at the New York Times asked me to write down my memories. George connected me with Bill Walko and we created this mini comic that ran in the New York Times.

I know there's a lot of books out there, but this more recent book by my pal Danny Fingeroth illuminated truth about the man that I had never known before. Highly recommend it.
