Book Tour Blast: THE LERNER by Alan Nayes

The Learner
An alien from the dark side of the universe is sent to Earth on a mission. She’s called a Learner. When she falls in love with a human—which is against her specie’s covenants of exploration—her rulers order her to leave him. She refuses, risking not only the successful outcome of her mission on Earth, but also her life as well as the life of the man she loves.
Purchase The Learner on Amazon!

I live in Southern California but still consider myself part Texan by birthright. I was born in Houston and grew up in Dallas. I've resided in California since the mid 1980's but get back to Texas as much as possible. My first two published novels--GARGOYLES and THE UNNATURAL are biomedical thrillers. Actually THE UNNATURAL could also fall into the horror genre as it is a pretty bizarre tale. BARBARY POINT is a love story about a successful young woman who falls in love with a fishing guide. It was written on a suggestion from a former agent.
My favorite football team is the Superbowl champs GREEN BAY PACKERS. Sorry Cowboys. But when GB is not on the gridiron--Go Dallas! Great Cheerleaders, too!
I enjoy the outdoors and as a side note I'm one of only a few individuals to ever swim across Wisconsin's chilly Lake Winnebago. Does this make me a better writer--probably not.
When I'm not working on my next project, I enjoy relaxing and fishing at our family vacation home in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Alan Nayes is the author of GARGOYLES , THE UNNATURAL , BARBARY POINT , GIRL BLUE, and SMILODON.

<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt;">It is hard to choose a favorite character that I write. I

I start with an idea and I let it roll around in my mind until I have a really
good first line. Once I have that I follow that line to an opening scene and so

create a time line to make sure I keep up with continuity. </span></div>

Book Tour Blast: SHIFTY BUSINESS by Olivia Hardin

Shifty Business (Bend-Bite-Shift Trilogy Book 3)
Gerry Hinton thought she had the perfect career as an operative for the Company. Her next assignment should have been another "mission accomplished", but hell was delivering hand baskets that day.
When a little girl gives a mysterious silver box to Gerry, her world self-destructs. Suddenly under constant mental attacks, the only person who can save her is her partner, Nicky--but nothing comes without a cost. Secrets buried deep in the past begin to rise, threatening everything she holds dear.
If she can't out run her past, can she save her future?

About the Author – Olivia Hardin realized early on how strange she was to have complete movie-like character dreams as a child. Eventually she began putting those vivid dreams to paper and was rarely without her spiral notebooks full of those mental ramblings. Her forgotten vision of becoming an author was realized when she connected with a group of amazingly talented and fabulous writers who gave her lots of direction and encouragement. With a little extra push from family and friends, she hunkered down to get lost in the words. She’s also an insatiable crafter who only completes about 1 out of 5 projects, a jogger who hates to run, and is sometimes accused of being artistic, though she’s generally too much of a perfectionist to appreciate her own work. A native Texas girl, Olivia lives in the beautiful Lone Star state with her husband and their puppy Bonnie.

Book Tour Blast: SILVER SPHERE by Michael Dadich

The Silver Sphere
Shelby Pardow never imagined killing someone. That's about to change. While hiding from her troubled father in the local library, Shelby stares at a flashing instant message on her computer: YOU ARE NEEDED.
She discovers a portal that opens and teleports her to the planet Azimuth, where soldiers await. Here, she is not a child but a warrior, Kin to one of the six Aulic Assembly members imprisoned by Malefic Cacoethes, the daunting leader of the Nightlanders. Malefic, the evil spawn of the demon Biskara, razes towns and cities in his quest to rule Azimuth, and yearns to turn his forces against Earth.
Yet every time Biskara gets close to achieving his malevolent goals, the Assembly uses the Silver Sphere, a sophisticated armillary device, to thwart him. With the Assembly deposed, Biskara directing Malefic's conquests, and the Silver Sphere out of reach, Shelby is thrust into an unforgettable quest with her fellow Kin. She must learn to kill and lead an army into battle, or Azimuth—and Earth—will fall.

Unless he can find a suitable replacement, he'll be Thendylath's next king. All he really wants is the letter written by his ancestor Ronor Kinshield, the last man to see King Arek alive... a letter he must earn by tracking down a common thief. But when Gavin saves a woman's life, what should have been a simple task draws him face-to-face with his nightmarish past... and the truth of King Arek's demise.
BRIDE OF FAE by LK Rigel
Book 2 of Tethers: Tales of Wyrd and Fae Series
A love more powerful than magic or time.
Beverly Bratton has a safe, mundane life. No drama. No magic. Since her parents died, she's cared for her little sister Marion and worked at the Tragic Fall Inn. When a fairy's charm sends Beverly a hundred years into the past-and into the path of a banished fairy prince-nothing will ever be mundane or safe again. The regent of the Dumnos fae is turning the court from light to dark, and there's nothing the rightful king, Prince Dandelion, can do about it. The mystical coronation cup which he needs to become king has fallen into human hands. When he meets a human woman with access to the cup, everything changes. Beverly is fascinating as well as useful-but of course Dandelion doesn't love her. Love for a fairy is rare. Love with a human, impossible. But when Beverly and Dandelion are thrown together in a battle against both wyrd and fae, they learn that in Dumnos the impossible happens every day.

GIFT for my Readers: PATH TO DESTRUCTION
I'm still in the giving mood and want to share the first story in our DARK FUTURE series of short stories and novellas. PATH TO DESTRUCTION invites the reader into a world in chaos, but there is still hope. Is it too late to save the US?
Read it for FREE on Amazon.
Can a ragtag band of soldiers save what's left of the USA?
In a last ditch attempt to turn the tide in a desperate war, General Matthew Smith of the American Freedom Fighters asks Samurai Master Kenzu to make a batch of the famed memory weapons--weapons that infuse its user with the skills and memories of a samurai warrior. But, in the wrong hands, the users can become uncontrollable killing machines who don't care whom they kill - friend or foe.
When General Smith orders Commander Hurley and his unit of augmented soldiers test the weapons, he believes that he's doing the best thing for all of the men under his command. What General Smith believes, however, and what is true is entirely two different things and Smith must live with the consequences of his decision.
PATH TO DESTRUCTION is a SHORT STORY of ~10,000 words.

<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt;">I have three more books I expect to publish in 2013. The
first, tentatively called “Memories Of The Cold War” is on schedule to be
released just before Memorial Day. It is a historical semi-fiction. It is based
on a true cold war time line. Then, I over lay my life with some true stories,
some embellished stories and some fictional stories. For the record, it is
fiction – mostly …maybe. The second book is another collection of short stories
and poems, and lastly, I am writing another management book, relating to the
use of strategic and tactical business plans in a small business environment.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="background: white; color: black;">I was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1954 into a
middle-class, blue-collar, Jewish family. I am the middle child with a brother
one year my senior, and a sister two years my junior. In 1961, my family moved
to the suburbs of Los Angeles, California. I am the second generation,
American-born son of Austrian and English grandparents on my father's side, and
Polish and Russian grandparents on my mother's side. I enlisted in the United
States Air Force in 1972, and was finally medically discharged in July of 1990.</span><span style="color: black;"><br style="mso-special-character: line-break;" />

<span style="background: white; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt;">I

Planning to Make Your Veterinary Practice More Profitable." During that
period, I wrote five scripts for educational videos. Then, in February of 2011,
I published my memoir, "Death: Living To Talk About It." On August
20, 2012, I published my first work of fictional, "Five Short Stories and
Twelve Poems." Now, after more than two years in the works, "Road To
Transplant," my sequel to the memoir, is scheduled to be published
November 17, 2012. I continue to write both fiction and nonfiction, maintain a
weekly blog; recently, I've also began construction of a new, all inclusive

Christmas Special Deal on ASSASSIN'S CURSE
Did you get a shiny new Kindle or Nook for Christmas? In the spirit of the holiday, ASSASSIN'S CURSE is currently on sale for only .99. Grab it while you can, the price goes back up to $3.99 soon.
Book description:
When elite assassin Jeda received his assignment to kill a witch and deliver her twin daughters to the Countess of Berkshire, he had no idea it would be his last. The witch stuns him with an elemental blast, but not before he's able to throw his knife. When Jeda regains consciousness, the dying witch is performing a compelling spell between him and her twin daughters. Now bonded to the girls, Jeda's old life is forfeit. His only thought is to take the girls and run as far away as he can. He has no idea that the twins are the ones spoken of in the long-lost prophecy of The Witch Stone. Forces are gathering: the white witches want to teach them; the Countess wants her grandchildren back, and the guild has sent their best assassin to bring Jeda back, dead or alive.
Jeda must use all of his assassin skills to stay one step ahead of them all, but will it be enough to save himself and keep the children of prophecy alive?
