Goodreads / Amazon / Barnes & Noble / iBooks / Kobo—
EXCERPT:He knew where his mind should be. But that didn’t matter because right now it was filled with her, and how the scent of her clung to his skin. Someone that was supposed to be a one-night stand had somehow burrowed her way into his mind. Fine, whatever. He’d figure it out. He could find her again. How hard could it be?
Pulling on a pair of boxers, he looked around his apartment for any trace of her, but found nothing. No excuse to look her up to return something she forgot. If he wanted to see her again, he’d have to find her. And he was surprised by how strong that impulse was.
He’d hooked up a lot, but he’d never had a one-night stand that had gone quite like that. But then, he rarely woke during the night, and so he’d never taken the time to talk, like he had with Cece. Or maybe they’d overshared. He wondered if that was what had run her off so easily. He shook his head to force the thought aside. Not with what had happened between them after their little talk. He wouldn’t believe that they’d been able to connect so strongly physically, if the personal things they shared were what had made her run.
He’d never felt a connection like that before. Maybe her friend had dropped digits. If he couldn’t find her, that was it, he’d let it go. But he at least had to try.

Author Bio:
USA Today Best Seller, Nana Malone's love of all things romance and adventure started with a tattered romantic suspense she "borrowed" from her cousin.
It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She's been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.
While she waits for her chance at a job as a ninja assassin, in the meantime Nana works out her drama, passion and sass with fictional characters every bit as sassy and kick butt as she thinks she is.

#Excerpt: SECOND CHANCE MARQUESS by Jessica Jefferson

She squared her shoulders and stood a bit straighter having won their duel of wills. “Good.”
Without another word or a single glance, Chesterton left the room.
Not one to be left behind, Wilhelmina hurried after him, through the study and up the stairs.
“Where are we going?” she asked once they’d reached the top, breathless from the burst of activity.
He strode down the corridor, seemingly unaffected by the brisk climb. “To my bedroom.”
She immediately stopped. “Your bedroom? Why ever would we go in there?”
Chesterton turned back to her, one sardonic eyebrow arched high. “To change,” he answered. “You didn’t expect me to head out in this, did you?” He turned and continued toward the room, looking back at her before entering. “Are you coming?” he asked, voice smooth as warm chocolate.
This wasn’t the first time she’d been lured into George’s bedroom. He’d been an earl, the courtesy title bestowed upon him at birth, but more than that, he’d been a gentleman. Apparently, he’d lost that when he’d inherited the Marquisate. His bedroom was no longer an inviting sanctuary, and this invitation was not one of love as it had once been, but a lewd proposition, tenderness replaced by cruelty, as he watched expectantly for her reaction.
“I don’t think that’ll be necessary,” she stuttered, trying in vain to remain calm and collected as he started to untie the sash about his waist holding his robe closed. He let it fall to the ground and the robe opened, revealing his chest and torso in all its naked glory.
And it was indeed glorious.
She quickly averted her glance, whipping her head around and staring attentively at the painting on the wall.
“Is something the matter, Mrs. Turner?”
She was not about to play this game. She didn’t have the time, and he didn’t deserve the enjoyment it would undoubtedly bring him to see her suffer so. And most importantly, she couldn’t play because she knew good and well that she had no chance of winning.

BLURB:
When Wilhemina Turner’s younger sister runs off with a young Lothario, she has no choice but to turn to the notorious rake who broke his promise and her heart, for assistance. George Bartlett, the Marquess of Chesterton, hasn’t forgotten the woman who hurt him so many years ago, but can’t deny her request, knowing that his brother’s reputation, and fortune, is at risk. A series of misfortunes leave the straight-laced widow and committed bachelor stranded, sharing both close quarters and old secrets. But when morning comes, will this unlikely pair find a second chance at love?

#Excerpt: A HUMAN ELEMENT by Donna Galanti

In a few swift movements he slit the ropes binding Ben, who staggered back. The man caught him and held him up, then ripped off the duct tape.
“Who are you?” Ben’s body trembled from the rush of fear and a fierce headache pounded in his temple.
The man didn’t answer. He bent over one of the dead Samoans and pulled out a wallet. He looked inside and threw it at Ben. “It’s yours.” Then the man led him by the arm down the overgrown road where he handed Ben his clothes from the brush.
“Come on,” the man said. Ben looked back at the dead men sprawled face down. They oozed like two fat walruses sunning themselves in the moonlight. “Don’t worry about them. I’ll dump them later, somewhere they’ll never be found.”
In a daze, Ben followed his savior up the rough road, stumbling behind him in the dim moonlight.
“I’ll take you back to base and you’re on your own,” the man said once they reached his car, parked off the main road. “Don’t speak of this to anyone. Understand?”
Ben nodded and climbed in the car. He looked over at the stranger in black who had saved him. His mammoth biceps flexed as he drove, hunched over the wheel. Ben stared at him, and then a memory flickered. “Why are you following me? Why save me?”
“I’m an interested party. Leave it at that.”
“I can’t. I would have died up there for sure.”
The man didn’t respond.
“Thank you.”
The man looked at Ben. His green eyes glowed in the moonlight that filtered into the car.
“Someday you might not thank me. Someday you might not survive.”

#SALE .99 OUTPOST by Matthew Keith

Excerpt:
Turning in a slow circle, Justin scanned the horizon until his gaze landed back on the net and the bodies beneath it. “Only three,” he noted. “There’s always been more before.”Richard grunted again. Justin had no idea what it meant because he couldn’t see Richard’s face behind the bandana and the wide, tinted ski goggles he wore. Not that removing them would have helped—Richard’s reply to almost everything was a grunt. Sometimes his grunts meant yes, sometimes no. Most of the time it simply meant he didn’t want to answer.Justin pulled his bandana down and lifted his goggles, wiping a dirt-coated sleeve across his sweaty face. The goggles kept fogging up, the moisture from his perspiration steaming the inside of the lens. They were unbearably hot, but a necessity against the harsh winds and heat. Two years ago, the Great Rains had killed nearly every living thing. As a result, what used to be the lush, green countryside of central Kentucky was now a barren, rocky wasteland, a scorching hot dustbowl under daily attack by an unrelenting sun, even during the winter months. It almost never rained, not anymore. When it did rain—not the poisonous, disease-ridden kind that had wiped out the planet, just plain old H2O—it only lasted for a few minutes. The ground soaked up the water so quickly and greedily that nothing ever had a chance to take root. Even the soil near the few lakes that remained was barren, the water so toxic that it killed any chance of creating life. What was left was hard, dry dirt that seemed to stretch on for an eternity. No one could last more than an hour outside without a pair of goggles over their eyes, not with the hot, scorching winds that carried so much dust. One of the bodies under the net shifted. Justin hastily covered his face again and swung his shotgun up.
Blurb:
The world's population has been decimated by a pandemic of epic proportions. One small pocket of survivors has been given the opportunity to strike back against those responsible.
In rural Kentucky, one hundred and sixty-one survivors of the apocalyptic Great Rains huddle inside a one-block, walled off section of town: a place they call Outpost.
It has been two years since the toxic rains fell, wiping out most of humanity and leaving the Earth's soil devoid of life. The people of Outpost have managed to survive by working together, scavenging food from empty homes and businesses, guarding one another while they sleep.
They have persevered through their worst nightmare.
But now a stranger has arrived at their gate, and offers them with a choice: they can come with him and be part of saving the world, but many could die. Or they can do nothing and hope some other community has the courage to do what they can't.
Many of them want to fight. Others are skeptical. They don't believe the stranger's story and want nothing to do with furthering their own misery. They like things just the way they are, and they'll fight to keep it that way. Even if that fight is with those they call friend and neighbor…

#Excerpt: NEVER GO ALONE by Denison Hatch

Jake had once been a boy in blue as well. He’d spent the minimum time required—two years—out in a patrol car. He’d gotten his gold shield ten months after that; primarily due to the sources he’d managed to scrounge up while on patrol in Chinatown. While Jake’s ability to measure people was strong, his ability to split them open was legendary. As was his chutzpah. He was like a pit bull when it came to everything, cases not excluded. That was why, during his first few years as a detective, not a single one of his cases went unsolved. But his discipline was another thing altogether. The department was half squares and half circles, but he was four-dimensional. It was a simple as that.

A fresh twist on a classic story, Bellamy and the Brute proves true love really is blind.
When Bellamy McGuire is offered a summer job babysitting for the wealthy Baldwin family, she’s reluctant to accept. After all, everyone in town knows about the mysterious happenings at the mansion on the hill—including the sudden disappearance of the Baldwin’s eldest son, Tate.
The former football star and golden boy of Wellhollow Springs became a hermit at the age of sixteen, and no one has seen or heard from him since. Rumors abound as to why, with whisperings about a strange illness—one that causes deformity and turned him into a real-life monster. Bellamy wants to dismiss these rumors as gossip, but when she’s told that if she takes the job, she must promise to never, ever visit the third floor of the mansion, she begins to wonder if there really is some dark truth hidden there.
Tate’s condition may not be the only secret being kept at Baldwin House. There are gaps in the family’s financial history that don’t add up, and surprising connections with unscrupulous characters. At night there are strange noises, unexplained cold drafts, and the electricity cuts out. And then there are the rose petals on the staircase. The rose petals that no one but Bellamy seems to be able to see. The rose petals that form a trail leading right up to the 3 rd floor, past the portrait of a handsome young man, and down a dark hallway where she promised she would never, ever go…
As Bellamy works to unravel the mysteries of Baldwin House and uncover the truth about Tate, she realizes that she is in way over her head… in more ways than one. #Excerpt: HOW TO CATCH A COWBOY by Sandra Madden

Moist, pink lips, full and sweet. Lips he yearned to kiss. "Matilda Rose, be careful or you'll bewitch me," Cooper warned.
She laughed, a light lilting laugh, as if he'd said something terribly amusing.
As they danced slowly, silently, the tantalizing movements of her body pressed to his, propelled Coop's heart into an irregular rhythm. The smoky simmer of desire curled through his core, shot to his fingertips. Like some demented soul, he continued to torture himself with a woman he could not have.
When the music ended, his lips grazed the top of her head, stealing a taste of her sweet, silky hair.
Matilda Rose stepped back, her lips parted in a dazzling smile, her eyes sparkling as they met his. She had no idea how he felt, how much he wanted her.

#Review: LAST NIGHT WITH THE DUKE by Amelia Grey

I was excited to read another book by Ms. Amelia Grey. She is a talented author who can weave an exciting and enjoyable story although this one was slow to get going. Esmeralda Swift has been dealt a harsh hand. No longer is she the pampered young girl, but a young woman who is determined to make a life for her and her younger sister Josephine. A chance meeting with the Duke of Griffin and Esmeralda's life changes. He's hired her to chaperone his twin sisters as they make their debut in Society.
I loved the witty banter back and forth between Esmeralda and Griffin. She gave him no quarter and spoke her mind, sometimes without thinking. Little did she know, that trait was exactly what drew him to her. Ms Grey masterfully teases out the details of the incident that labeled Griffin as one of the Rakes of St. James and the scandal that has followed him for years. However, when Griffin finds out about a secret Esmeralda has been keeping from him, her circumstances change again and not for the better. Back and forth these two verbally battle, all the while trying to resist the rising passion and temptation for each other. I especially loved young Josephine and her dog Napoleon. That was such a sweet addition to the story. I was either laughing at her antics or shedding a tear at a little girl trying to act so grown up.
All in all, this book will definitely appeal to fans of Regency Romance.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Blurb:
Could finding love be his greatest scandal of all?
The Duke of Griffin has never lived down his reputation as one of the Rakes of St. James. Now rumors are swirling around London that his twin sisters may bear the brunt of his past follies. Hiring a competent chaperone is the only thing Griffin has on his mind--until he meets the lovely and intriguing Miss Esmeralda Swift. In ways he could never have expected, she arouses more than just his curiosity.
Esmeralda Swift considered herself too sensible to ever fall for a scoundrel, but that was before she met the irresistibly seductive Duke of Griffin. His employment offer proves too tempting for her to resist. She can’t afford to be distracted by his devilish charms because the stakes are so high for his sisters’ debut Season. . .unless one of London’s most notorious rakes has had a change of heart and is ready to make Esmeralda his bride.

#Excerpt: THE GOOD SPY DIES TWICE by Mark Hosack

The same type of electric shock that had knocked him off the second fence was once again rushing through his fingers and into his arm. He crumpled to the ground with a new, yet familiar, scream on his lips. Luckily, he fell backward, and the weight of his body jerked his hand away from the fence, breaking the electrical current.
Lying in the snow, his arm shook violently for several seconds, and Jesus, his heart—it was skipping beats like a rock skimming a lake. He looked back at the fence. It was just fifteen feet high, and slouching in parts where the support poles were bent, or in some cases missing. It was old, a relic of a bygone era. Totally unassuming.
Or so he’d thought.
Somehow, there was now electricity coursing through it, electricity that hadn’t been there when he’d first scaled it, just minutes earlier.
Someone had turned on the juice, and that meant someone was watching him.
When he first parked his car, he’d counted two fences from the road.
Two fences between him and the rumored Soviet installation.
No problem, he’d thought. The fences were falling apart—he could easily climb them. But now here he was, stuck in between them. Like a rat in a cage.
With his stomach in his throat, Brody cradled the audio recorder.
Okay, so he’d recorded a sound that just might change the world, but as several headlights appeared in the road just beyond the now-electrified fence, as dark silhouettes of bulky Russian men poured out of the cars and hurried through the snow toward him, he found himself asking a much more personal question:
Was it also a sound worth dying for?

Reviewer’s Comments:
"I loved the murder-mystery flair thatseemed present and the deliciously tense undertone of the spy network. These points gave lots of flavor to the budding romance and caused lotsof conflict well so we ended up with a really meaty story" Unabridged Andra
"A very well-written book, I highly recommend it for those who love a witty, fast-paced Regency romance." Notes from a Romantic Heart
"Besides the strong love story plot there is also a murder mystery plot. I love a good love story, but a murder mystery just added another level and dimension to the story - plus an extra star in this review." Ally, Goodreads reader
"All in all, Dare to Love a Spy is a charming love story with an intriguing mystery to boot, and I recommend it to any fans of historical romance." Anna, Goodreads reader
"This story pulled me in from the first digital page and I carried my Kindle all over the house, reading while I cooked, baked cookies, and fed my toddler!" Dawn, Goodreads reader
