The Easiest Overnight No-Knead Bread Recipe
Think you aren’t a bread baker? Let me change your mind! This easy no-knead bread recipe does all the hard work while you sleep, so you can wake up to a gloriously crusty, perfectly imperfect loaf that’s so simple, even the cat could make it (just kidding – if Tron could bake bread I’d always be out of butter).
Y’all, this no-knead overnight bread recipe has been my lifeline over the last few months.

Let It Be Sunday, 481!
Friends, hello, good morning, and a very warm welcome to this Monday that feels like a Sunday.
This week, I’ve taken large strides on The Bakehouse Texas, removing old old wallpaper and painting many of the rooms. It’s very slowly starting to feel this might just be my house and the old owners won’t be strolling in at any moment. In what feels rather symbolic, I’ve been sleeping downstairs in what was the guest room because the upstairs master bathroom feels very much like someone else’s bedroom.

Hello friends! We have entered VIRGO SEASON, and as a Taurus sun, Virgo rising, (Leo moon, if you want to know), I’m happy to be in a grounded, earthy place and in my zone as someone who loves organization and learning. I am back in a routine, I recently bought a handheld steam cleaner so my home is sparkling, my calendars are color-coded, and quite frankly, you can’t tell me a gosh darn thing right now.

Let It Be Sunday, 479!
Friends, hello and good Sunday to you.
It’s First Christmas here in Bellville. Just a holiday I celebrate every July and August as I develop recipes for the upcoming festive season. I do have a ten foot Christmas tree up and fully decorated on my front porch, and it’s possible the neighbors think I’ve lost it. BUT! I crushed the magazine deadline this week, which means we’ll get this issue to print for late October!

Let It Be Sunday, 478!
Hello, friends!
How’s your summer winding down? Mine came to an abrupt halt when I returned to work at my children’s school and jumped into a brand new position. Last year, I was a Teacher’s Associate in the 1st Grade, where I read Little House on the Prairie and reminded kiddies to keep their fingers out of their ‘lil noses. This year, however, there’s a para shortage in Nashville—and maybe all over?—so I’m working with a group of kids who need a lot more help.

Real question. When did it start happening that summer ends with the return to school in mid-August when I remember, clear as day, dreading Labor Day weekend as the harbinger of the first day of school? I’m sure there’s a reasonable answer like, longer holiday brakes, shorter days, or an early finish but… mid-August!? This feels unkind.
At least Amy has our adult school supply list ready for us (aka the best pens on the planet).

Hello, friends! Today is July 28th, and it’s my fifth wedding anniversary. My wife, whose name is also Amy, and I got married a bit later in life, but wow, it was worth the wait. We had our wedding in the backyard at the first house we shared and crammed 50 of our nearest and dearest under a huge tree for a yummy brunch that my family and friends pitched in to make. We told everyone that we were celebrating our engagement, but then BAM!

The plot points of life are coming fast and furious this week. It’s only (and already) July of an election year and…. buckling up would be the least we should do. I’d also recommend stocking dry goods in the pantry and planting potatoes and garlic this fall because… what is the world exactly?
I feel like we’re rippin and runnin through this summer but did we consent to this speed? I have yet to even write my yearly Summer Bucket List which, shame on me really.

Let It Be Sunday, 474!
Hello, friends!
How’s your summer going? I had a bit of a detour last month when I was laid up in bed recovering from Gum Surgery. Yup, that’s right. Other women my age are getting Botox and (.)(.) jobs, but I had to get a gum lift to treat my recessed gums. And, let me tell you: It was awful. I could only eat smoothies and soup for two weeks. So, while everyone in my feed seemed to be vacationing in Italy, my face was bruised to the point where I looked like Beetlejuice, with my mouth stitched together like Hannibal.
