Are we reaching the limits of physics, the end of science?

Maybe.  In some ways.  There may well be scientific questions that we’ll never be able to answer:   http://www.businessinsider.com/the-en...

“Trump’s Liberty U performance was insulting to Christians everywhere”

Jerry Falwell Jr., the president of Liberty University, has just endorsed Donald Trump for the presidency of the United States.  Which makes this article, by former House majority leader Tom DeLay, a hero of many people on the political Right, particularly interesting:   http://www.christianpost.com/news/don...

You will be assimilated

Welcome to the new regime, in which dissent will not be permitted:   http://www.sltrib.com/news/3459506-15...   If this attempt to transmogrify Brigham Young University isn’t successful, there will be others.  Oh, brave new world!   Canada was the canary in the coal mine:   This is something that I wrote back in the fall [Read More...]

“Dr. Thomas Sowell — on Trump”

The economist Thomas Sowell, of Stanford’s Hoover Institution, is one of the finest conservative thinkers in America, and I’ve admired him for many years.   Here’s his take on The Donald:   http://www.thefederalistpapers.org/us...   I wish voters were listening.

“The Long History of Muslims and Christians Killing People Together”

Jabra Ghneim brought this interesting article to my attention — an article that illustrates how much more complex history is than the propaganda slogans to which it’s often reduced, and, coincidentally, how relatively unimportant religion has actually been in some famous “wars of religion”:   https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/w...
