Writing a Regency retelling of Peter Pan might be one of the most catastrophic ideas I’ve ever had or pure genius.
Who knows?
Here’s a lil except so you can form an opinion: ( be kind ok?)
🩰🩰🩰🩰🩰🩰🩰🩰🩰
The crescent moon hanging low in the sky cast just enough light to illuminate the water.
She had never seen a moon like this—big like a sun and blood red against a deep velvet-blue horizon. It was rising behind the hills in the distance and soon it would be too far above her to be visible from her point of view.
But as long as she could see it, she couldn’t help herself.
She made a wish, however childish it may feel. Besides, she had nothing left these days: nothing but memories. Her childhood had been nothing even remotely near to happy, but it had included something happy. Someone happy. Him.
Of course, one could not exactly describe Peter Darlington as ‘happy’, but he was the only part of her life that could be described as such. He didn’t even know it, but she was alive because of him today.
Much good it did to her.
“Peter,” she whispered her wish to the moon, “come back for me.”
Nothing happened—not that she had thought for a moment that something would. Peter, like answered wishes, belonged to her childhood. And what was more, Peter…Well, Peter had forgotten all about her. (at Jane Austen Addict)

“One day I’ll buy you all the paperback books you wanna have, and I’ll read them with you, or you can read them alone, or I can read them first and tell you how they made me feel. I’ll go to a bookstore every Tuesday and ask for any poetry book about hope and love, for that’s what you always make me feel like I am being loved by a poet who can show me how wonderful existence can be when it is expressed with the right words. I’m going to write about you when no book can explain how precious you are to my heart and when I pass away I’ll give you all my books then I’ll always be a part of you, and when I’m always a part of you, then I’ll never get to say goodbye for every time you read a book there was a time when it was my whole universe. You are my library, my every page, and my entire heart.”— Juansen Ryne Dizon, Paperback Books

I don’t understand how people read about how Jesus spent time with and helped out prostitutes and think to themselves “Jesus supported prostitution” instead of “Jesus knew that most if not all women in prostitution were forced into it and that they were routinely abused by their clients. He knew that many of them were desperate to escape that life but felt too impure to do so. He helped those women, told them there sins were forgiven and to sin no more, and those women were able to leave their lives of prostitution behind thanks to his help and mercy.”
