Can you help me decide which cover and title to choose for my Robin Hood retelling?

Is it 1 or 2?

Here is the synopsis, if it helps:

Robin Hood is about to steal your heart.

A robber and a princess.
A girl disguised as a boy.
A medieval reimagining of the legend of Robin Hood packed with adventure, sacrifice and romance.

Robin Hood, hidden deep in the Sherwood Forest, is fighting to restore the crown to its rightful king, surrounded by faithful friends, green leaves and clear skies. Burdened with secrets, betrayal and an incredible responsibility, he struggles to stay alive and keep the starving people fed. One day, a boy saves him from the Sheriff’s poisoned arrows. Robin, impressed by the slender youth’s courage and skill, takes the boy with him to the forest.

Only, the boy is not a boy.

In the castle of Nottingham, a maiden who used to be a princess is forced to obey the wishes of a tyrannical Sheriff. She dons on male clothes and trains to become a fierce assassin, vowing to catch the greatest criminal in the kingdom. But when she saves Robin Hood’s life nearly losing her own, she is rescued by the outlaws.

When Robin and the “boy” meet, two worlds collide, resulting in unimaginable danger and intense romance. Who will survive when they learn each other’s secrets? What happens when the assassin falls in love with her victim?

Filled with danger, intrigue and slow-burn passion, this is a Robin Hood story unlike any you have ever read before!

So which one is best? What do you think?

thank you so much for your help!

The most honorable lady Adelina Halifax was about to die, and that was the most exciting thing that had happened in her life.

“Not quite,” an irritating voice to her left whispered. “Much worse things have happened to your ladyship. Why, I can think of at least three that happened to you this year: getting jilted at the altar, being banished to the country by your guardian the duke, and last but not least, the exceptionally dull Christmas dinner we just attended.”

Oh. I said it out loud. Dammit.

No, wait. Darn it. Shouldn’t swear. Should swear less, at least.

Dev—Drat take it.

It was two days before Christmas.

The skies were miserably overcast and starless, and the air was biting with bone-chilling fog. Adelina had been bundled up underneath her coat, blankets and furs in a carriage which had been gliding along in the chilly evening, its lanterns tossing the beams of yellow light among the thick darkness, but even so everything felt even more bleak and desolate from her window.

Christmas.

God, the dullness.

“I didn’t say ‘the worst thing’,” Adelina muttered through clenched teeth.

“You said ‘exciting’, but you meant ‘worst—well, being left at the altar is sort of exciting,” the annoying voice replied in a maddeningly calm voice. “At least, being engaged is, I imagine. Or fake-engaged.”

“Will you be quiet,” Adelina hissed at her companion, for it was she who had spoken. “I was talking to myself.”

“An early sign of madness,” her companion rejoined, in a tone that implied she knew what she was talking about. “As I said, much worse than not being excited, my lady. As is this.”

By ‘this’ she meant the pistol that stood at the opening of their carriage door, pointing directly at them both.

Maybe I’m too emotional
But your apathy is like a wound in salt
Maybe I’m too emotional
Or maybe you never cared at all
☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔

So hear me out. Is it just me (probably) or does anyone else listen to these breakup songs and think about past friendships or people you have hurt or betrayed you? (*sings you betrayed me in olivia rodrigo*)🧁

I find it therapeutic and it’s a great way to realize, express and release my own emotions, not to mention a huge inspiration for whatever tortured character I am creating at the moment.☔

But I’m sorry, people who are/were in my life have hurt me as much or more than my crushes ever did. So “good for you, you look happy and healthy, not me, if you ever cared to ask” to that person who never has and never will ask how I am doing because they simply do not care.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Isn’t it the worst when you care about someone (not romantically) and they don’t care back? It happens more often than we like to admit. And “that sh*t is embarrassing, you were my everything."💔💔💔

Now excuse me while I listen to Happier Than Ever for the rest of the week. I need to sort out some personal stuff. Do you also mourn lost friendships and relationships with non partners or am I the only crazy one here?

When your gorgeous new classmate straight up walks up to you at school and asks you to die for him, what do you do? 🌊🌊🌊🧜‍♀️🧜‍♀️

I am experimenting with a new cover for Salt for Air. This one is in a new trend with typography and symbols (you’ll know what every single one of these mean, if you have read the book). 🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊

I don’t know if I’ll keep it, but I love working on new things and evolving as a designer. I showed it to a few people and their reactions were… let’s say intense.🙃 But I won’t tell you if they were positive or negative, because I want to know what YOU think first.

So lay it on me. Thoughts? The book is available for sale with the new cover at the link in my bio! ➡➡➡📚
Check out the new cover for Ice Mermaid too, it’s going up any minute now 💎💎💎💎💎
