very fucking tired of...
very fucking tired of female characters having to be younger and smaller than their male counterparts
also very fucking tired of female space marines, warriors, and knights having no muscles whatsoever compared to their ripped, beefy male counterparts.
also very fucking tired of female characters being introduced as qualified professionals but never get a chance to show their abilities
also very fucking tired of female characters who are taller, bigger, bulkier, etc. not being considered attractive
also very fucking tired of female characters’ happiness being discounted unless they’re in a relationship
Also very fucking tired of female characters who are helpless and typical princesses who need Prince Charming to save them.

Thief and Assassin (a Robin Hood story) (on Wattpad)
A girl goes to the forest dressed as a boy.
Robin Hood, at nineteen years old, with stars in his eyes and scars on his heart, with the weight of the world on his shoulders, wants to save everyone, but it isn’t always possible. Sometimes it looks like the only one he won’t be able to save will be his own self.
And then the girl appears -only Robin thinks she’s a boy. What does she really want?
Does she need Robin Hood’s help to escape her abuser? Or is something more sinister going on? And what will happen when Robin discovers she’s not a lad? Or who she really is?
Robin Hood WIP - lil excerpt“I’ll expect results within a fortnight, at the very most.“
"Results?”
“Why must you be so tiresome? I mean his head, of course. His head. His head on a platter. You know, separated from his body.”
“Dead.”
“Quite.”

Thoughts on… No Vain Loss by M. C. Frank (No Ordinary Star #3)“Sometimes, pain is the
only way to change.
”Rating: ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ (5/5)
Goodreads Summary:
A soldier is summoned to the North Pole, days before the year changes, told to fix the great Clock for a celebration. He has no idea what to do.
A girl, hunted for the crime of being born, almost dies out on the ice. She is rescued by the last polar bear left alive.
A library waits for them both, a library built over a span of a hundred years, forgotten in the basement of an ice shack.
The world hasn’t known hunger or sickness in hundreds of years. It has also forgotten love and beauty.
This is the One World.
The year is 2524.
Inspired by the short stories of Ray Bradbury, this futuristic young adult novel in three parts is set in a world where Christmas -among other things- is obsolete and a Clock is what keeps the fragile balance of peace.
Written in three parts, this is the breathtaking story of how two unlikely people change the world, and each other, one book at a time.
In No Vain Loss, the world is on the brink of the greatest war humanity has ever known. Lives will be lost. New truths will be revealed.I received an ARC of this book from the author @mcfrankauthor in return for an honest review. Thank you!
I’ve been a huge fan of the No Ordinary Star Series since the very first installment (reviews of book one and book two) and I’m incredibly grateful to have been a beta reader for this amazing series.
In the final book of the trilogy, our main characters face their most intense challenges yet, in a tale that kept me turning page after page. New, fascinating aspects of the world are revealed and Felix and Astra (the protagonists) continue to surprise and astound. M. C. Frank continues as she began, with a captivating world, a thought-provoking story and characters to die for.
This book to me was all that I could have hoped for. Ending a story, especially one that has spanned 3 books is not easy, yet Frank manages it with a fine hand, staying true to the story and satisfying her readers.
If you haven’t read this series, please do yourself the favor and pick up No Ordinary Star and delve into a world of ice and lies, with two heroes about to set it on fire!

Repost @readcommendations OH MY GOSH ITS HERE! The incredible M.C. Frank (@mcfrank_author) has just sent out the ARC of the third book in her amazing No Ordinary Star series… isn’t it gorgeous? No Vain Loss picks up right where No Plain Rebel leaves off and it’s pure action - I’m halfway through and my heart has already broken. The year 2525 is here - and it changes everything.
