Had a really hard day yesterday because one of my student’s mom refused to pay me (she had just bought he 13yo kid a tablet and an iphone and a few expensive toys lol). It was at the tip of my tongue to tell her, I’m an author, I’m used to people demanding my work for free *sad wink. But I didn’t. Today I’ll have to say goodbye to her sweet kid. I wish people weren’t so transparent in their greed and meanness, but unfortunately they are. I’ve got 3 univesity degrees here, people, stop underestimating me. I know readers do (not all of them, there are the #nosstreetteam lovelies, of course) , but that will change REAL SOON

Then, the moment before Robin
went completely under the dark mist’s suffocating memories, a pair of strong hands was there, grasping his own,
holding him up. Someone removed the boy’s dead weight from his death grip. Out
of instinct almost, they all moved closer around him, sensing his distress,
wanting to save him from it, to shield him with their bodies from the unseen
enemy.
