The World is Dead
Permuted Press have just released The World Is Dead, an anthology of zombie stories looking at life after the dead have risen. There are no outbreak tales here, instead we're presented with 18 vastly different visions of a world where we're forced to live alongside the undead.
I've worked my way through more than my fair share of zombie anthologies recently. This book – edited by Kim Paffenroth of Dying to Live fame – stood head and shoulders above the rest. It's bloody good. Recommended...

The AUTUMN movie – set report
Here's the second in my series of blog posts about the AUTUMN movie. Principle photography on the film began in November 2007 and, in early December, I was fortunate enough to be able to fly over to Canada to visit the set and meet the cast and crew. On my return to the UK I posted a report which I'm reposting (in a slightly re-edited form) here:
Do you have children? If you do, have you experienced the hell which is their first day at school yet? Anyone who has will know exactly what I'm...

He didn't kill anyone!
If you've read chapter four of HATER, the title of this post will make sense! A fantastic time was had last night, courtesy of The Men They Couldn't Hang. I finally got to meet Swill in person, and he even wore his MAG shirt for me (as per his appearance in HATER!).
TMTCH are an absolutely cracking live band with a loyal and dedicated following. There's still time to catch them on tour in the UK, click here for dates and venues. I'd thoroughly recommend going. The missus and I had an...

The Autumn movie – UK premier
The Autumn movie will receive its UK premier at the Grimm Up North festival in Manchester (running Friday 30th October – Sunday 1st November). See the festival website for more information.
I'm planning to be there, along with Steven Rumbelow, the director of the movie. It would be excellent to meet as many of you who are going as possible so drop me a line if you're planning to attend. It should be a cracking weekend with some great films being shown including Colin, The Descent Part 2 and...

Orion books in the UK have released a mass-market (i.e. cheaper!) edition of HATER which, from today, you'll find in supermarkets, airports etc. etc. You can also get it online from Amazon.co.uk, Waterstones

German readers can now get their hands on the first publication anywhere in the world of Autumn: Disintegration (Herbst: Zerfall). Whilst this is good news for readers in Germany and Austria, it's not so good for those of you who've been w...

Autumn
Over the course of the next few weeks and months, people around the world are finally going to be able to see the AUTUMN movie (and I mean the proper, finished movie – not the poor quality, unfinished rip that was leaked online and which has been unfairly generating bad press around the Internet recently). At the end of the day, AUTUMN is a low budget indie horror film which, like many indies, will be released wherever deals are made, whenever those deals are made. It would have been great if th

The Men They Couldn't Hang – UK Tour
Our favourite punk-folk band and stars of HATER (new readers click here for an explanation) head out on a UK tour in September. Click the image below for dates or visit www.tmtch.net for more information. I'll be there, but if Swill comes at me with his guitar you won't see me for dust…!

HATER movie update
Check out this article over at Shock Till You Drop who managed to grab a quick word with Mark Johnson, one of the producers of the HATER movie.
Can't tell you how excited I am about this…
Oh, and while we're on the subject of HATER, keep an eye on this site in the coming weeks for news of more editions of the book and the first word on DOG BLOOD, the second book in the series due for release in 2010.
