War Games Between Primates

No, this is not a political or military post.  These war games are played between man, the highly developed, intelligent species.
.
And the canny feline with his finely-tuned senses.
Most of you reading this post know that we have a cat fence up so the felines can enjoy the outdoors.
The two seniors have never stepped outside of it, except when the gate has been left open while loading and unloading items and Captain has stuck his inquisitive nose outside his safe zone then scurried back in.
Then we rescued FrankenMonster who's been seduced by the siren call of birds on the other side of the fence. He started out digging his way under the fence, until the HH filled in all his holes. Next he undertook to find the weak points in the fence and scoot on out. The first couple of times this happened I was frantic. We'd get him back in and try to figure out where he'd done his escape act.  I finally figured out if I called him, he'd hop back up the fence and scurry around to the weak point and drop back in, at which time, the HH  armed with his trusty stapler and ties would strengthen the  weak links.
So far...
Holes filled in.  Weak links fixed. And since we haven't had a breakout in a couple of weeks, man is temporarily winning the war games.

If you haven't read Shardai and would like to, grab a  copy. It's a holiday freebie from now till the 22nd.

O Christmas Tree

After putting up Frosty, the next step was the Christmas tree. Below is the tree topper and ornaments collected over the years, some new, some old. As you can see, there is no theme....though, if there were it would probably be cats.
This one is hard to see. It's a Christmas Tree my son made in grade school with his picture on it.

Frosty is over thirty years old, has lived in Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois and North Carolina. He's still going strong with no retirement date in sight.

Paranoid. Who me?

What is your immediate response when the views on your blog take a steep up tick and continue for more than one or two posts?
Is it:
1. Woo Hoo. Maybe I should run a couple of ads and make a little extra money.
2. Oh no. The hackers are after me.
3. Crap. I posted something that caught Big Brother's Eye.  Or another country's Big Brother.

My reaction:
1. Are pragmatists and positive thinkers....Lucky ducks.
2 and 3. Those of us who are paranoid, conspiracy theorists, fiction writers whose thoughts immediately go in a seething cauldron of speculation that takes us one step past the brink of  expected response and sometimes normality.

What about you? What is your reaction to an upsurge of views?

Movies.Movies.Movies.

We've been getting caught up on movies. We saw a couple at the theater and a couple on the kid's wall:)  Here's what we've seen:

Murder On The Orient Express is chock full of stars and panorama and a mysterious storyline. We enjoyed it...You've got to love the mustache:)

Thor came perilously close to being over the top for us. But it's Thor/Chris Hemsworth so how can you not like it? Right?

The LEGO Batman Movie.  Cute, but I just couldn't reconcile the sexy Batman voice with the short stubby legs.

I very much enjoyed War For The Planet of The Apes. It had a deep, emotional draw.
