Just Her Poetry

I’d like to welcome good bud and fellow author D. L. Finn with her new release JUST HER POETRY Seasons of a Soul. I just started reading this and it is truly lovely. The poems scoop you up and sit you in the middle of nature.
Thank you, Sandra, for having me on your blog to celebrate the release of my first poetry book, “Just Her Poetry Seasons of a Soul."  To tell your followers a little about myself here are someFinn Facts:1.     I am a huge fan of “Happily Ever After” in movies and books. 2.     I proudly have my great-grandparents 50th Anniversary Cake Topper in my china cabinet. I plan to use it for my own 50th Wedding Anniversary!
Blurb:Take a journey with D.L. Finn as she blends her love of nature with her deepest emotions. Sit with her on the forest floor observing its tranquil beauty, or stroll along the ocean’s shore admiring the vastness of its horizon. Here in these peaceful moments you’ll be able to experience her thoughts and feelings in the light—and in the darkness. This is a thought-provoking collection of poetry that invites the reader into all the seasons of a soul.
Excerpt from NATURE Spring and Summer:PLANTToday is the first warm day of springI step outside excited to sit in the sunThe bare trees are starting to budGreen pine needles reach for the clear blue sky.Birds are singing, while gathering for their nestsThe bees find daffodils and lilies to satisfy their hungerThe bear has awakened from its winter nap,Tipping over its first full garbage can.Pine cones scattered amongst those littered from fallThe air heavy with rebirth, it’s time to plant my seedsNot just introducing them to the soil, but in my mindTo grow and thrive like the magical landscape around meNurtured in love and hope for another season of growthWhen mistakes and lessons are the fertile baseAs I reach for the stars with my dreamsSpring reminds me that all is possible if you just plant it. D.L. Finn is an independent California local who encourages everyone to embrace their inner child. She was born and raised in the foggy Bay Area, but in 1990 relocated with her husband, kids, dogs, and cats to the Sierra foothills in Nevada City, CA. She immersed herself in reading all types of books, but especially loved romance, horror, and fantasy. She always treasured creating her own reality on paper. Finally, being surrounded by towering pines, oaks, and cedars, her creativity was nurtured until it bloomed. Her creations vary from children’s books, young adult fantasy, and adult paranormal romance to an autobiography with poetry. She continues on her adventures with an open invitation for her readers to join her.D.L. Finn Links: Twitter Facebook Instagram Pinterest D.L. Finn blog

Monday-Tuesday

THIS AND THAT
Over the weekend my tulips started popping open.
The second and third picture are of the same tulip taken two hours apart.

AND...

I received a lovely review on Montana Shootists. It stood out to me for two reasons:  The reviewer mentioned she wasn't much on writing reviews but had fun and wanted to share AND  since she was in the military there were aspects of the story she could relate to.  Always good to know when writing on something that you've researched but haven't experienced first hand. Whew.

AND...

My brother, who had been readmitted to the hospital for liver problems again, was released over the weekend. Any prayers and positive energy for him are appreciated.

AND...

My daughter and SIL are buying their first house. Very exciting.

AND....

I had surgical removal of an erupted tooth and a bone graft in my mouth last week and the HH did a remarkably great job as caregiver. Yes, I am ready for some solid food:) Heh.
