IWSG Wednesday

The first Wednesday of every month is officially IWSG day. Members post about their doubts and fears, discuss struggles and triumphs, and offer words of encouragement to others who are struggling.
Thanks, as always, to Alex Cavanaugh, founder and Ninja Captain extraordinaire and our awesome co-hosts.
The IWSG optional monthly question can be found under the IWSG Sign-up tab on the Insecure Writer's Support Group Blog.
Book ReadsLast month I had the pleasure of a sneak peak at Beverly Stowe McClure's GABE'S GUARDIAN ANGEL. I don't want to give anything away since it's not yet released, though it is available for preorder at Amazon. Just let me say, you are in for a reading treat.

And for another holiday pleasure stop by tomorrow for information on J.Q. Rose's new release, YOUR LIFE STORY. You're going to love it. It will make a purrfect gift for those on your Christmas list who are hard to buy for.

Read last month: Indie author Joe Congel's DEADLY PASSION . This one's for the gumshoe aficionados out there. A great read, with a chilling twist.

Currently reading: Good bud and Queen of Prehistorics, Jacqui Murray's: BORN IN A TREACHEROUS TIME. If you like Xhosa, I recommend that you give Lucy a spin.

Did You Know
Did you know the term buck, when referring to a dollar, came from the seventeen hundreds when the hide of a buck deer was worth a dollar.

Ketch-Up Day
We're back and its:
What we've been doing:We celebrated with friends last week where the HH got cake #1.
Then we made a quick trip to Southern Illinois and Indiana.
On the way, we saw snow in the mountains in the Pisgah National Forest. Apologies for the blurry pictures, they were taken from the car.
The next birthday celebration was with my family at Harrah's where he got cake #2. By the by, loved the candle. It opened like a lotus flower. As you can see he's a Cub's fan.
From there we went to Southern Indiana to visit with the HH's sister and brother-in-law. While there, he got cake #3 (decorated in Chicago Bears colors:)
They have a new home that is quite nice. I fell in love with the master bath and wanted to share it with you. I was quite intrigued by the door. It's on gliders and as you can see, replicates a barn door.
Walk-in closet.
Bath.
Powder room.
Shower.
Double sink.
Nice, huh? And yup that's me in the mirror. The pictures came out dark and don't really do it justice. Now back on the road and driving through the mountains..
And finally...
AND...Speaking of birthdays. A belated Happy one to Lee. I have been getting soooo behind on blogger buds birthdays. A thousand apologies. If you've never been to Lee's blog it's always filled with fun and yummy recipes.
So what have YOU been up to while I've been away?
