Thank you Elizabeth Gilbert for an inspiring talk at Adelaide's Writers Festival today, both entertaining, intelligent and full of energy. What will stay with me is the concept that we really are the luckiest women that have ever lived on this planet ever! We have more access to better education, jobs, travel, freedom to pursue our dreams in the arts, sciences and literature, we can own things, run things, question things….well at least in western countries we can…so we all have no excuses whatsoever it is time for us to shine

I've been wanting to take this photo for the longest time for you, SOAT on top of the Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan, Mexico, looking towards the Pyramid of the Moon. Today my 6 year old son didn't have school and he suggested we go over to the pyramids, which are about a 15 minute walk from our house and I thought, this is my golden opportunity to schlep along SOAT for the famous photo! So we did it, and my son actually took this photo. It didn't seem odd to him at all to be posing a big book on top of a pyramid! I really hope you can make it to Mexico someday, to Mexico City, then you can come climb the pyramids yourself! Sending you all my best wishes and positive energy from the pyramids of Teotihuacan!

A canadian living in Beirut, Lebanon for the first time.. being on my own journey of self exploration in and through my new marriage, much like Alma, I too am seeking the signature of all things, constantly. I have always craved to know the explanation to all things, and I too must know every possible angle. I am only a quarter way through the beginnings but I am already feeling the magic of your writing, yet again. After reading eat pray love, and being blessed by so much uplifting healing from/through your own perspective of tragic loss to greater found love, I felt like I might as well give your latest book a chance too, and so far it's proved inspiring, as I thought it would.

So honored!

THE SIGNATURE OF ALL THINGS has been nominated for a terrific prize in the UK called The Wellcome Prize — for achievement in writing on a medical subject.
This is such a delight, to have been short-listed. SOAT is the only novel on the list, alongside work by such eminent scientific authors as Andrew Solomom and Oliver Sachs.
Alma would be so pleased, to be recognized in the world of science!
