Kindle Worlds FAQ
My book Twice as Daring has been locked and loaded and is currently awaiting it’s release day!!! It will be out on March 24, which is next Tuesday.
There have been some understandable questions about Kindle World books and how they work. I was going to write a post explaining the whole thing, but then I found that the fab Erin Nicholas had already done it. So I’m going to link to her post here. Go read it for all you’ve ever wanted to know about Kindle Worlds and the Dare to Love world created by Carly Phillips in particular. For eg, what on earth is Kindle Worlds? How is my book related to Carly Phillips’s book? Are Carly and I BFFs now? (actually that’s not one of the FAQs. Oops).
If all you really need to know is how to download the book if you are outside the US and have an account that is associated with a differenct country such as Australia, the UK or Canada, this is the info you need.
Log into your Amazon account. Go to settings, in the middle you can see what country you are associated with. Then just a bit above there is a section that tells you what country you can change associations –>> follow that link –>> change to the country of your choice –>> choose the American site. You’ll be transferred, and able to buy the books in the Dare Kindle World! Then do the same process in reverse to get back to the original site for your country.
(thanks to a very helpful Canadian reader named Marlene for finding this info out for me).
Another important point I want to stress is that Carly Phillips’s Dare to Love books are NOT exclusive to Kindle US. They are available on all platforms, it’s only the Kindle World spin off books that are vendor restricted. If you want to start the series from the beginning you can pick up Dare to Love for FREE. All the links are on Carly’s site.
That’s all for now. I’m reading all the other stories on offer this weekend, and let me tell you that Erin Nicholas, Mari Carr, Rhian Cahill, Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliot (who also designed my cover) have brought their A game!
See you next Tuesday

Eternal Brand is Here!
I’m so excited to announce book 3 in my Wild Crush series is now available. Eternal Brand is the first MMF menage romance I’ve written since Erica’s Choice, and it’s another angsty, lusty tome that I hope you’ll enjoy.
His present love. His old flame. Can they slay his demons—and build a future?
Wild Crush, Book 3
Emily Irving has enjoyed two years of blissful happiness with Brandon Walker, a man as mysterious as he is compelling. She knows Brand has secrets, but she’s never pushed him to reveal anything. All that changes when an old friend of his shows up and turns her assumptions about the man she loves upside down.
Jet Durante hopes to reconnect with the man he has loved since they were teens. Instead he finds the beautiful and guileless Emily. Yet even as his hopes are dashed, a new and surprising attraction emerges—and so do Jet’s suspicions that Brand hasn’t been completely honest about his past.
Brand’s post-military relationship with Emily has brought his soul close to peace, but when he returns home to find his new love and his old flame in one room, explosive doesn’t begin to describe the atmosphere. The truth shatters Emily’s world, but if they can all survive the flash flood of emotions, there’s a chance they can pick up the pieces—and build something lasting.
Warning: Features one tortured soul, two sexy guys and a whole lot of horses. Also contains scenes of two- and three-way love in any and every conceivable combination.

Do Over With the Doctor
My previously published book, Pleasing The Doctor, has gotten a makeover! It’s now been re-released and is available for purchase. If you didn’t check this BDSM novella out the first time around, now’s your chance to pick it up for $2.99:
It’s been a year since Alice’s divorce, a year since her lady parts have gotten any up-close-and-personal attention from a man. When she meets Damien and he invites her back to his hotel room, she decides to be wild and brave for a change. After all, it’s just one night. His card says he’s an out-of-town doctor—it’s the perfect chance for her to explore some of her deepest desires without having to worry about after-sex embarrassment.
Except Damien isn’t an out-of-towner at all. He’s just moved to the area and knows, as soon as he sees Alice, that he can give her the kind of pleasure she secretly craves. The kind of pleasure that comes from a good spanking and some leather bindings.
Convincing Alice to give in to her desires isn’t a problem—convincing her to stay once the sun comes up is the real challenge.

Time to Meet Meg
My second Escape Publishing book, Until He Met Meg, released today! I guess this means that one sweet romance I released a while back wasn’t a fluke eh *wink*. See I’m not just sinful, I’m sweet too .
Until He Met Meg
Meg Lacy came to Sydney to chase her dream, but the dream is somewhat elusive, so she finds herself unemployed, uninspired and on the verge of giving up. A chance encounter with wealthy single father Bryce Carlton gives her a temporary reprieve: a job as a nanny to his headstrong eight-year-old daughter.
The arrangement is supposed to be short-term, an easy way for her to save money while she pursues her dream. But her heart doesn’t understand, and before long she is growing attached to her charge and falling in love with a man determined not to risk his heart a second time.
When his first marriage ended Bryce vowed to never become seriously involved with another woman, but Meg turns his house, his life and his heart upside down.
She is his daughter’s nanny, he’s not the right man for her, and there are a million reasons why their relationship shouldn’t be. Everything was going according to plan…until he meets Meg.
I’m thrilled this book is now available to the world. I have a real soft spot for sweet, old fashioned romances, and if you do too this is definitely a book worth checking out.

Excerpt:
‘Find anything interesting?’
Startled, Meg almost dropped the frame as she spun around. Bryce Carlton was standing in the doorway, arms crossed over his chest, looking none too impressed to find her nosing around his study. Hastily, Meg put the photo back where she had found it, feeling her cheeks wash with heat. ‘I’m sorry. I was just…’
‘Snooping?’ he filled in as he crossed the room to glance at the photo she had been looking at. ‘My parents, if you must know. Lawrence and Margaret.’
At his nearness Meg felt a hum in her blood and she had to resist the urge to step back. ‘They’re a nice-looking couple.’
‘They were. They died in a plane crash almost ten years ago.’
‘Oh. I’m sorry.’ Such an inane, inadequate thing to say, as Meg well knew. She found herself blurting, ‘I shouldn’t have said that. My mother died when I was fifteen. I always hated it when people said how sorry they were, as if it was their fault.’
He regarded her in steady silence. She felt his gaze and turned to meet it. There was a softness in his eyes she hadn’t seen before. It reminded her of that moment in the taxi, when she’d been talking about her wish to work in design. They’d shared a flash of kinship, as though they weren’t two utterly different people from separate worlds meeting by chance and nothing more. Here, in the quiet of his den, the sensation felt shockingly intimate.
Meg rubbed her arms again, clenching her teeth so they didn’t chatter. Ridiculous that a heavy sadness should fill her at the idea of this man’s loss. To lose two parents at the same time must have been horrendous. Her mother’s cancer diagnosis, and the painfully short journey to her ultimate death, had been devastating to Meg because they had been so close. But at least she still had her father and brothers. As often as they’d butted heads, those familial connections had kept her from loneliness so abject it might have destroyed her.
She wondered if Bryce Carlton had siblings. At a guess she would say not. There was an air of separateness about him, of isolation. As though he was used to being alone.
Meg fought against the spurt of sympathy. Bryce’s state of being was none of her concern.
‘Were you able to reach your friend?’ The query seemed loud in the silence that had lengthened between them.
‘I’m afraid not,’ Meg answered. ‘If you don’t mind I’ll try again in a few minutes.’
‘And if she’s still not home?’
If it made any sense at all, Meg would have sworn he sounded angry. ‘I suppose I’ll call another taxi.’
‘And use your last dollar getting home,’ he concluded gruffly.
With astonishment Meg realised he was angry. She whirled on him. ‘So? What’s that to you?’
‘You should have let me pay for your trip home when I offered.’
‘I’m sorry my aversion to taking charity from strangers has inconvenienced you.’
‘You’re not inconveniencing me.’ His jaw set in a way that belied his statement. ‘I simply think your pride has gotten in the way of your common sense.’
‘And I’m obviously in your way,’ Meg deduced. ‘I suppose I’ll call another cab right now and get it over with.’
As she reached for the phone Bryce’s hand came forward to stop her. His touch warmed her chilled skin in a way she found far too pleasurable. Yet short of assaulting him she could do nothing to escape the contact. She stood and felt the waves of heat purl through her as she stared up into his scowling face.
‘You’re still freezing,’ he noted after a long moment that crackled with an unsettling awareness. His voice seemed to have dropped an octave. ‘Why did you take off my jacket?’
Meg had to swallow before she could respond. Still, her voice sounded scratchy to her ears. ‘I could hardly keep it, could I?’
He stared at her a long time, his dark eyes studying each curve of her face. His perusal was intense, yet not entirely flattering. Meg felt as though her features were being catalogued, rather than admired. Annoyance rose swiftly, blessedly providing strength when it was needed. ‘Find anything interesting?’ she inquired, echoing his words of before.
His scowl deepened, became a glower. ‘I’m sure you’re aware of how attractive you are.’ He released her arm and abruptly turned away. ‘I’ll start a fire.’

Giving Off Sparks Out Now!
It’s out! It’s out! Rob McConnell’s book is available for purchase. I fell in love with Rob while writing Burning Up for the Down and Dirty boxed set, and I’m so glad to see his story finally on sale. Rob is a seriously nice guy, but hella sexy too. I DO believe nice guys can be sexy–don’t you?
Resisting a gorgeous firefighter bent on seduction could prove the ultimate challenge.
Firefighter Rob McConnell doesn’t believe in love at first sight, until he meets Sierra Lawson and his common sense goes up in flames. The woman sets his heart alight the instant he meets her, and he could swear the feeling is mutual. But Sierra has one rule that makes a relationship between them unworkable—she doesn’t date firefighters. Still, Rob thinks the spark between them deserves a chance to grow and he’ll use every seductive talent he has to convince Sierra to take a chance on love.
Sierra doesn’t believe in taking chances. Her late fiancé took them on the job as a cop and wound up dead. Knowing she can’t go through that kind of heartache again, Sierra vows never to date another man in a dangerous profession. But when hunky firefighter Rob bursts into her life, her list of rules looks set to burn up like dry kindling. The man is temptation personified. An affair seems inevitable.
Guarding her heart? Impossible.

Excerpt
Two things woke Rob McConnell at 3:46 in the morning. The sound of a woman screaming and the acrid smell of smoke.
He shot out of bed, his firefighter instincts on full alert. Yesterday, he’d spent the better part of a ten-hour shift working with his crew and several others to dampen a factory fire before it spread to the surrounding industrial area. They’d managed to douse the flames without any loss of life, but they weren’t always so lucky. Screaming and smoke tended to make Rob spring right into action.
He was yanking on a pair of jeans in two seconds, bolting out of his bedroom in three. He stopped in the darkened hall, listening for the roar of flames. It took him a moment to realize there was no roar, and that the woman’s screams weren’t the come-and-save-me-I’m-burning-to-death kind. They were more of the Oh-God-baby-yes-I’m coming-I’m-coming variety.
Rob groaned and rubbed at his eyes with the heels of his hands. His housemates were at it again. Blair Bowman and Leo Chatfield—otherwise known at the fire station as Blue and Chats—were working their way through all the women in Ashton Heights and a few surrounding suburbs who were willing to take both of them on at the same time. Unfortunately, there were a lot of women to choose from.
Ordinarily, Rob wouldn’t care what his two workmates did in the bedroom. He wasn’t a complete stranger to the delights of three-way action himself. But the walls in the old Queenslander the three of them shared were paper thin. The noise was affecting his sleep.
Pushing out a sigh, Rob walked into the kitchen to grab the milk from the fridge. Just as he was about to lift the carton to his lips, he detected that scent of smoke again. The screams might have been nothing to worry about, but that persistent smell was a concern. He followed it to the open kitchen window, which faced the kitchen window of the neighboring house. Through the glass, he saw a telltale orange glow emanating from inside.
“Shit!”
Rob dropped the milk carton, spilling the contents all over the linoleum floor. Ignoring the mess, he yanked the fire extinguisher off its wall bracket and bolted toward the sliding glass door that led to the back patio. He ran down the stairs three at a time, vaulted over the fence between the two properties and leapt up the back stairs of number nineteen. He banged on the glass of the house’s back door, trying to rouse the single mother and three kids who lived inside.
Through the glass, Rob could see the fire had already consumed the toaster on the bench. As he watched and banged furiously on the door, the flames leapt from the toaster to a nearby tea towel and set it alight.
Where the hell were their smoke alarms? Fuck it, he thought. He couldn’t wait for Cheryl to wake up. He lifted the fire extinguisher and rammed the base of it into the door. A crack appeared in the glass immediately. With only one more blow, the whole sheet exploded. Glass fell everywhere, leaving shards on the inside and outside of the house.
A woman screamed, the sound ear-splitting. Rob didn’t even look at her as he leapt over the broken glass and headed for the kitchen. He lifted the fire extinguisher and released the safety switch. Rob gave it a few good long bursts, spraying at the flames until he’d buried the small blaze in white foam.
When the noise of the extinguisher died down, silence fell. Outside, a dog barked. A few screen doors creaked as they opened. The commotion had obviously gotten the attention of the neighbors. Rob’s heart rate began to calm as the adrenaline eased out of his system.
It sped up again at the sound of one shrill question. “Why in the world did you do that?”
Rob’s head whipped around and he got his first real look at the woman who’d screamed earlier. A woman who was definitely not Cheryl, the forty-something mother of three who lived at number nineteen. This woman was not forty, probably wouldn’t be for at least fifteen years. And if her hips had born any children, they sure didn’t show a sign of it. She was trim and slender with long hair that fell in straight dark strands all the way to her tiny waist. Which wasn’t far because she was short.
She was short, cute and really ticked off. Which ticked Rob off. Fortunately, his annoyance distracted him from the other things he was feeling. His first glimpse of the woman had knocked the breath from him and he felt like he’d been sucker punched.
I hope you check this book out. And don’t forget that Burning Up is available for .99c if you haven’t already read it.
