REVIEW: Adam-Troy Castro on Best American Science Fiction and Fantasy 2015
On Facebook, author (and reviewer) Adam-Troy Castro started reading Best American Science Fiction and Fantasy 2015 (guest editor: Joe Hill), and just three stories in made the following pronouncement: “On the basis of those first three stories, alone, I am ready to call this book a monument.” There’s a lot of background behind that praise that he goes into in his post which is well worth reading as well (which he couches in the context of “behind the scenes of a writer’s ego”). NEWS: SDCC Giveaway for PRESS START TO PLAY Was a Hit!
Daniel H. Wilson and I were both at San Diego Comic Con this past weekend, and we had the opportunity to giveaway about 160 copies of PRESS START TO PLAY to eager SDCC patrons. We did a big group signing as well, as several of the contributors to the anthology were in attendance.

NEWS: Speaking at Clarion
In other San Diego-related news, I’m going to be speaking to this year’s class of the Clarion Writing Workshop at UCSD, when I’m down in the area for SDCC. It’s not an open event–it’s just going to be me and the Clarion class, so there’s not much point in me posting about it online, but I thought it was pretty cool and wanted to share. :)
