The Seer is now released!
Since the release of The Cost of Knowing, I've been busy working on book 3, the next novel in The Stone Cycle series. That hasn't consumed all of my writing energy, though, and to prove that I haven't been entirely idle I decided to release The Seer, a novelette 5 chapters in length that provides further background to the Stone of Knowing.
It's a standalone story, and it can be read first, as a brief introduction to Arvenon and the world portrayed in the Stone Cycle novels (currently The Stone of Knowing and The Cost of Knowing). Or it can be read after those novels to provide extra context to the series.
Some people have asked how the stone came to be where Thomas found it. The novelette answers that question. Of course it raises questions of its own (how did the stone come to be where it was found previously). But there needs to be some mystery left in life. 😉
After releasing two full length novels, it was fun writing a complete story that's only bite sized. If you haven't read the novels, and you're not sure if the world and the writing style will appeal to you, The Seer might offer an accessible way of putting your toe in the water.
