After my own mother passed a…moreNot a personal mystery, but a family mystery. My maternal grandmother died before I was born, so I never got to know her. After my own mother passed away, I inherited the family keepsakes, including my grandmother's scrapbooks from her late teens/early 20s. They paint a very different picture of her from the one my mother painted, much more vibrant and happy. I think that would be very interesting to explore in fiction, the transition from who we are in our youth to who we become as adults.(less)
