Lazy Saturday
The boys and I woke up early, so we decided egg salad sandwiches were the way of our morning. In the end, I opted to doze off again…and again…and again. That was till my 8-year old was in my ear, “Mom, what am I having for lunch.” A little irritated, I reached for my phone so I could show him it wasn’t remotely close to lunch time. Wrong. It was just past 11 am.
This insomniac caught herself some Z’s…and you better believe I was taking full advantage of this. But not at the expense of my kids...

Author Reviews On Amazon’s “Friends” Review Removal
I know, I know…I’ve been MIA once again. But the good news is I’ve been writing, and finishing my book. Yay!
How’s my health? Ugh…I’d go into detail, but it sometimes depresses me. So I’m learning to focus on all things positive, being thankful for the good things in my life.
Anyhow, I’m linking a great write up done by author Elyse Bruce. This touches on a very important matter Indie authors are currently facing, up against Amazon.

I’ve Not Gone Mute; OK, Maybe A Little
Let me count thy ways! I could sit here and give you hundreds of excuses why I’ve not blogged. But of course those would be just that, excuses. Right? And who likes excuses? Well I guess some people do…who am I kidding, I love them as well, BUT, I’m not going to use any today.
Listen, life happens to all of us…right now, right now and right now. Get my point?
I can’t tell you how many times I sat here, stared at the screen and could not write anything…nothing! Grrr!!! It’s been so frustrating...

Chapter One is Officially in Circulation
I’ve really taken a break from the blog. Sorry about that (not that I know anyone is actually reading it), but it was necessary for me to step away from all things my novel!
My health (one day I will share) is not the best, and my vision is even worse. I’m glad I had done a lot of my writing when my vision was better. But editing is slow because of my health/vision. Nevertheless, I shall trek forward.
So, I’ve got Chapter One of this venture out to a few people. The feedback I’ve received, th...

Exposition of a Minor Character
“Oops, I did it again!” (get it?) I really need to finish writing the last few pages of this novel, before attemptingto go back and read; yet again! I am sitting here now worrying about over exposition of minor characters. Geesh, was I advised to take English literature or creative writing in college? I took these both as entry level college course subjects. I mean I did before I dropped out.
So I’ve been trying to ensure I’m giving minor characters enough substance. They’ve made it into the...
Creating a Social Presence
While I typed the title to this post I had the serious chuckles…who am I kidding? I’ve been on social media for quite some time. However, this is different now – now I want to be a writer. OK, that just reminded me of the Spice Girls song ‘Wannabe’ which include lyrics “Yo I’ll tell you what I want, what I really really want”.
So I got my website up and running. It’s eclectic, and that’s how I want it because that’s me. My blog should be linking to the website as well, and my Facebook page an...

Rose Is A Rose Is A Rose
So here I go…I’ve been writing two books. I am near completion of my first book, just over 400 pages. I figured it was time to start a blog, to share my experience. I am finally reading through my nearly completed 400+ page book, and finding myself already editing this…frustrated and over criticizing myself. I’m sure it is natural of the author to be over critical of his/her own work, but at 2 AM I literally was rewriting the entire book! That cannot be normal. Could it?
I am not sure I am re...
