Blogging… Is it still a thing?

Good grief! Where has time gone?

So much has happened since I last took up residence in this space.

So very much.

And if you follow me on social media, or subscribe to my newsletter, you probably already know. But for those who dont, heres an extremely consolidated caption.

I lost my mom on May 13th, 2019.

She was 62, and today, December 4th, would have been her 64th birthday.

Happy Heavenly Birthday, mom!

Grief.

That five letter word is so complex to...

World of Fairytale Retellings

How is everyone? I’m truly hoping y’all are doing great, and that you’re warming up in your part of the planet, if you’ve had a cold winter.

Here in Western Washington, we got hit with a significant amount of snow, for us. While I love the snow, our area simply isn’t equipped to handle it the way other places are. Some cities did better than others, but still, it was a bit of shift, especially for schools.

In the meantime, I continued writing. Then I realized I haven’t made a proper announce...

Books, Movies, December, Oh My!

December already? Say what?

First off, I really hope y’all have been doing well. I mean this from the bottom of my heart.

I apologize for my hiatus. You know, life? Yeah, it just keeps coming at me and before I know it, hours, days, weeks, months have gone by and I’m still here, wondering when – where – why?

Nevertheless, I have lots to share. But before we get to that, allow me to say something very important.

You. Yes, you, reading this right now. You matter.

Oftentimes we forget about sel...

Review: Outbreak

Hello, y’all! Hope this post finds you well. I’ve been trying to keep up with the blog while writing and reading like a mad person.

Recently, I came across a new series, The Brother’s Creed by Joshua C. Chadd. The author and his works are new to me, so like any avid reader, I dove into book one, Outbreak.

The author is a self-proclaimed adventurous nerd, extraordinaire!  Who had me at ZOMBIES!

According to an editorial review by Norma Hinkens, NYT & USA Today bestselling author of the Undergr...

Book Cover Update

How are y’all doing?

Well, I have something to share. I’m excited! But first, allow me to explain.

Oftentimes, authors, especially Self-Published authors need to freshen up their book covers and blurbs, in an effort to stay competitive within the market. With so many amazing choices for readers, we must look to the competition and also what is selling.

I, of course, am no different.

I’ve been looking at cover art from a different perspective as of late. So many talented artists to chose from...

Writing & Fa La La La’ing

Hello!

Okay. You can call it. I’m a slacker when it comes to blogging. I agree.

Again and again…

…it wasn’t my intention!

Like you all, life just keeps happening. The days start blending together, and just like that, its March 27th!

What?!?!

So, what have I been up to?

My parents are staying with us for the time being, while my mom slowly heals from this absolutely scary health setback. The journey hasn’t been easy, but we were forewarned. However, considering the alternative with her almost...

Happy New Year!

Hey, y’all! Hope your holiday season has been fantabulous! Still can’t believe today is the 28th of December. In a few days we’ll be ringing in the New Year! Remember, if you are planning on bidding 2017 farewell with a bang, do so safely.

I’d like to apologize for being a bit incognito. One of my 2018 goals are to be more active on all my social media mediums. In the meantime, here’s what I’ve been up to.

For starters, my family (extended included) has been plagued with serious issues. My m...

Review: Origin

Hey! Hope y’all are doing well. I’ve been reading like a mad person. So many great books by fabulous Indie Authors. Don’t ever be afraid to check out Indie Authors. There are so many that are worth their weight in gold.

I’ve also managed to squeeze in a read from my all-time favorite author of our times, Dan Brown. Many of you probably recognize him from The Da Vinci Code. What fascinates me most about his writing is the paradoxical interplay between science and religion.

According to his web...
