Installment 3 of Fill the Grand Canyon and Live Forever
... is now live!
So far, we are at 192 page views and have stalled at 10 followers who are all great.
Probably Monday or Tuesday, I will have a surprise novel appearing in digital form for the Kindle (on Amazon) and on Smashwords. It's called Fuckness and it's 70-some thousand words long. It will be priced at an ultra-affordable .99 cents. Whether or not it appears in paperback will pretty much be determined by the interest it generates (or doesn't). This is an experiment in method. Also, it's a book I like quite a bit. It was my first really "serious" attempt at writing a book and liking it enough to try selling it to agents and editors. I wrote it at the end of the 20th century when I was in my early twenties. It's been rejected by nearly everyone and seriously considered by a lot of agents and editors. The final critique amounts to it being too weird for mainstream folks and too normal for bizarro folks. I have read it and edited it so many times, I have to publish it so I stop doing obsessing over it. So let me know what you think. I'm really starved for attention.

Installment 2
Installment 2 of Fill the Grand Canyon and Live Forever is now live.
Currently, it has 10 followers and around 150 pageviews. I'll continue posting these stats as they grow/decline mainly because I'm obsessed with statistical kinds of things.
I did not sell a billion copies of Zerostrata and, therefore, have to continue going to the dayjob. Actually, I probably only need to sell around 100,000 copies to take a year off work and focus on writing and promotion. I'll leave it at .99 cents for a few more days to make that happen. Thanks to those who have bought a copy. By the end of this year, I will have 9 or 10 books in print. Fill the Grand Canyon is basically my work-in-progress. Essentially, I'm writing it, running spell check, and reading through it once to make sure I haven't made any mistakes that are too stupid. At the end of this year, I will have nothing in the vault for the first time since being published. That's going to be a weird feeling.

Fill the Grand Canyon and Help Me Billionize
I'm tired of going to my day job so I'm trying to become a millionaire by Monday by selling at least a billion copies of the ebook of The Beard for 99 cents. I don't think this is at all unrealistic but so far I've only sold 2 copies (thanks to the two people who are helping me realize my dream).
Also, the first installment of Fill the Grand Canyon and Live Forever goes live tomorrow. It will update every Monday and run for ??? weeks. If you read the thing I was writing back in November for NaNoWriMo the first few installments will be hauntingly familiar (though slightly different). I'm always accepting blurbs for it so if you'd like your name attached to this sprawling project, feel free to submit your blurb in the comments section or to andersenprunty@yahoo.com. Having read it is not necessary. Please put "Blurb" or "Fuck you" or something in the subject so I don't delete it thinking it's spam.
And here's a picture of a cat. THE INTERNET LOVES CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bloggels, Fangoria, and the Huffington Post
Recently Huffington Post writer Claudia Ricci mentioned The Beard on her blog, My Story Lives. You can read The Beard for free HERE and HERE, pay .99 cents for the Kindle version HERE, or buy the paperback HERE. Claudia's novel, Seeing Red, is the first novel to be serialized on the Huffington Post.
Speaking of serialized novels on blogs... Beginning February 28, the first installment of Fill the Grand Canyon and Live Forever will be live. If you clicked on that link you'll notice it's subtitled Boring and Pointless: Volume One. This might lead you to believe there will be a volume two. That will be predicated on interest. If it seems like people are reading it, then I'll probably carry it over into a volume two (but volume one will be completely stand alone). If there is the complete lack of interest that I suspect will accompany it, then there probably will not be a volume two or there will be a volume two but it will only be like a paragraph long and all the characters remaining alive after volume one will meet with violent and horrifying deaths or be given those "Soandso and Suchandsuch were later married and continue to live blah blah blah..." that so many really great movies have at the end just so the one or two readers it does pick up don't feel left out in the cold. And by the way, my negativity is not just me fishing for compliments. I have documented proof.
And, in review news, Fangoria recently did a good write up for The Sorrow King. The trade paperback will be available in April. You can pre-order signed copies of that from me. Or you can check the previous entry for links to order the limited or lettered editions if you are the type of person who likes to buy hardcovers.

The Sorrow King Lettered (Book Porno)
Here are some photos of The Sorrow King lettered edition sent to me by Larry Roberts at Cargo Cult Press. They should be shipping in a few weeks. It also includes a one-time printing of my novel The Storm. There are still copies of the limited and lettered left.

The Funky Werepig

I'll be on The Funky Werepig this Friday at 9 PM with friend and fellow writer Nate Lambert. We'll probably talk about books, shovel fights, and our collaborative project, Greg Hall: A Novel. Tune in or call in. See you there.

Pre-order The Sorrow King
I'm currently taking pre-orders for The Sorrow King. All the copies will be signed and personalized (if you specify). They'll also come with a handful of spiffy Grindhouse stickers and maybe even another book. Also, if you you pre-order it, you'll probably get it a couple of months before it's available on Amazon.
