The Legacy Of Tallow Manor by Terence J. Goodchild

This book was a little long for me.  But I enjoyed it.  I was not sure would because the cover reminded me of a black and white movie.   But I was very presently surprised that the characters were well written and the story one was intriguing.   * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*  4/5

I Am lion by Mambo Banda

This book was very different than anything I have read before.  That being said, I was not sure about the book.  I think the story line is ok but I was not sure I understand everything that was being said.  I loved the descriptions in the book.  The author has a way about describing things in a unique way and I loved that part the most.  * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*  3/5

Me and My Bacon by Ceanmohrlass

This book is about starting over yet again and moving around a lot as a child.  The character, Mera, has me following her and seeing the story from her point of view.  I never got to move when I was little and I remember begging my parents to move once.  My dad said he moved a lot when he was little and didn’t want his kids to ever have to do that.   This book helps me to see both sides clearly.  * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*  5/5

Covers: Reader Eye-Candy

I’ve read this, and the cover fits it. Beautiful.

Myths of the Mirror

New cover for The Bone Wall New cover for The Bone Wall

We’ve all heard about the importance of quality book covers, and if I’m honest about my own book buying habits, I have to agree. I browse the covers. If I like a cover, I read the blurb. If I like the blurb, I read the first few pages. From there it lands in my shopping cart. A treat for me!

My switch from traditional publishing to indie publishing means it’s time for new covers. Authors will usually have the option to purchase existing covers from the publisher, but I decided to use this opportunity to upgrade, to commit to a professional image and brand. I figure this is my chance, and the covers I pick have to stick.

Covers are an investment for a writer, just like editing and proofing. Unlike editing and proofing, they’re seriously fun. I asked the talented Jennifer Munswami of J.M…

Fatal Reaction by Belinda Frisch

This book was great!  I loved Julia Farmer interpretation of the book.  She did well with just a slight change in her voice and you could tell who she was reading for with each character. I work in the health field so the authors knowledge was great on this topic as well.  I think she has done her research.  The book was a great mystery and I enjoyed the story line and I would read/listen to more books from both Belinda Frisch and more narrated by Julia Farmer.  I have listened to a few other books but I was very impressed by this one. I can’t wait for book 2!  “This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of AudiobookBlast dot com.”  5/5

This paranormal adventure story had me all the way through!  I enjoyed this book.  It was exciting and fun.  The added telepathy these kids had was very different but interesting as well.  What a diverse bunch of characters as well.  I think the story was well written.  Can’t wait to see what happens next!  * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*  4/5
