OTDF Report

So far, it's not good. Granted I got totally sideswiped with a situation with my publisher–no worries, it's mostly settled now and I have fingers crossed that all will be resolved shortly–but then I hit the real wall….

Open The Damn File!

So, writing has not been coming easily to me of late. Editing, sure. For some reason, that's working out just fine. But creating?

I've been on a block. An emotional one, I know. For the last 11 months, I've been running away from what I feel because feeling one thing can lead to feeling something I'm not ready to deal with just yet.

This isn't to say I haven't cried or mourned or loved or even hated anything. I have. I've also had mood swings like a damn freight train, to be honest, lol. But...

Hubby's New Game

Nope, not a platform game, not even a video game. Remember an old episode of Friends, where they got to pick five celebrities they have permission from their significant others to sleep with? (The One With Isabella Rosalini)

Anyhoo, out of a discussion about that, hubby says–quite lovely of him, I might add–that he doesn't really want to sleep with celebrities. But he'd love to do "something" with them, if ever given a chance.

Midweek

So, I need to do some writing this week and next, but I'm in need of some inspiration. I love movies and a great book rec would be fabulous.

Sadly, the only thing that has sparked my interest is "Paranormal Disturbances" (I think that's what it's called) and sadly, that ain't romantic, lol.

2010: Back On The Air

I didn't want to say it and jinx myself–on the off chance that a Groundhog Day-effect might happen and I'd be trapped in 2009–but I am SO glad that damn year is over. It will go down in history as the worst year of my life (and please God, let it stay that way)

But it's 2010 now, a fresh new year with a world of possibilities and exciting new developments. :) I have a big one to share in another week or so, when I get all my ducks in a row. Or should that be…spots? :)

Ten Minutes to Myself…

Yup, I actually have them. Sadly, I also have about 15 lbs I've put on since the pneumonia attack of the summer and the residual respiratory weakness. I still wheeze and I keep catching stupid colds that congest me and make it worse.

But that's okay. I'm planning to restart my old pilates regimen and hopefully, that will make me a bit better shaped, lol.

Of course, that plan won't take effect until January, after all the kids and their tempting holiday treats are gone.

That's also when I expect ...

Attack of the Crappy Blogger…

Well, if you've known me for more than a year, you know that the holiday season swallows me whole. Not just the things I plan to do myself, but the things I do for work. Getting ready for the Open House over at eHQ.com and let me tell you, organizing 100+ authors and prizes is a full time job! But I don't mean to neglect anyone here. It's just crazy.

Holiday Projects

So, as many of you know, my sister's children tend to spend holidays with me and my family. I want them to feel at home here, so I've been working on making them some stockings for Christmas of their own that match the rest of the families as well as I can. (Thus my absence of sorts…)

But take a look, I think it's been worth it, no?

Why Isn't It Friday Yet?

It's strange, I have too much to do most days and I keep hoping for a few more hours in each day to get my crap done, lol, and yet, I'm dying for the weekend. Most ironic about the weekend is that is usually when the house becomes the utter disaster it takes a complete week to clean.

Clearly I'm masochistic.

I'm also determined to find a combination for my bedroom that will work and not drive my husband crazy. Sadly, this includes sorting 8 million socks and putting stuff away where no one can ...

So I Broke The Blog…

Actually, it was Wordpress. It updated and kaboom, there went all my settings, which really sucks because I'd finally had it where I wanted it. Now I have to remember what I was doing, lol.

But in better news, I'm getting back to being crafty. Going to be making some stockings for my nieces and nephew, I really hope they like them. I'll put pictures up when I get them going. Wish me luck, am out of touch with my sewing machine.
