Months ago, Interlude Press made a commitment to participate in the Asheville (NC) Zine Fest, a first time, LGBTQ-friendly fan con featuring indie and small press artists and writers. With two popular IP/Duet authors based in the area, it made sense to get involved. As part of ongoing book promotions, we also have signings scheduled at Malaprops in Asheville and other prominent bookstores.

Fast-forward to spring, and the state of North Carolina...

This is a great in-depth article about the contrast between how a white woman is treated in Netflix’s Daredevil vs. the treatment of a Black woman and an Asian woman. All of whom are love interests for the white male lead. Very well written commentary about media racism that is so ingrained and so ubiquitous that it often goes unrecognized as something harmful.
