The sleigh was long and low to the ground, a sleek vehicle that glowed with magic. I walked around it, impressed. There were even blankets to keep warm.
"I've set it to head for Lord Ice's land," Yeti said with a wave of his hand off in a general direction. "All you have to do is sit down, and I'll get it going. Whatever you do, don't everyone get off it before you get there, though.

Edmond tried to make a turn in mid-flight. He bounced off the wall to the right, and for a brief second I saw claws reach --

The Yeti howled even after Edmond let go of his ear.
The ice beneath our feet cracked in a pretty spider-web design.
We were all going to fall and die.
Maggie tried to create more magic, but she was weak. Five hid in my pocket. Edmond held to Yeti fur as the creature started jumping up and down.
I panicked — and I did the one thing I do well.
"Stop!" I shouted.
