But its over quick, in the blink of an eye

Mirage

In my mind its a race against time
In constant motion like waves in the ocean
Feet stomp the ground, a steady beat of sound
Arms pump through air without any care
Lungs heave in breath like there will be none left
Heartbeat races high as if it wishes to fly
The mirage won’t last, the image fading fast
The real world has called, in reality I’ve stalled
