SOCCER BLUES

I know, I should be at my laptop writing a new chapter of “The Cabinet Spell.” But I can’t concentrate at all this morning. I am not a soccer fan in general, but I definitely become one whenever Italy takes center stage. It’s an interesting phenomenon, because I have no “nationality” feelings for Italy even though I was born there and spent more than half my years in Genoa. At this point in my life I consider myself an American under every respect. But when Italy does well in some major soccer championship, something inside me explodes, and I become their biggest fan. I watched Italy-Germany with my heart racing, and I was on my feet screaming “Stop the clock!” when the time went past what it should have. So, right now I am anxiously waiting for the whistle to blow and mark the start of the UEFA final. Italy-Spain will be a treat. The hell with writing novels. all I can do right now is scream FORZA ITALIA!

Social media and me

Today I am working on my Goodreads author profile. I just filled in the blanks for my bio, photo, video, and so on. And I started this blog. I have mixed feelings towards social media, I must say. They require a huge amount of time and energy if one wants to utilize them properly. And at times I feel overwhelmed. But their benefits are unquestionable, so I decided to spend some time this summer updating and putting order in my numerous and disconnected social media accounts. It's my summer resolution. So, here I am. As for the future of this blog, I intend to use it to share some of my good and bad experiences in the publishing world, hoping they will help other authors or wannabe authors to cope with this crazy, crazy life. Ciao.
