Reader Review - The Vampire's Madam

This made my day!!

"An amazingly well written, structured, smoking hot and fabulously erotic quick read!!

I was waiting patiently for it to be published but was out of the country with poor internet connection. Upon my return I devoured it on the train.

Glorious! Sizzling hot! Wonderful imagery! Fabulous story!
L.Rosario takes you right inside the story, immersing you in the action, I'm in awe of her ability to do that in such short story.

I have to say I was "pretty much useless" and unable to concentrate after reading The Vampire's Madam, it took me a while to come back down to earth!

Janna & Hugh are beautiful characters, we see glimpses into their history, enough to allow us to emotionally connect with them but the story is not prolonged by this insight, a perfect piece of writing.

Again sizzling hot, immensely enjoyable read! I adore L.Rosario's work, such a fan....when is the next one?

ps I have to say when I read The Vampire's Madam I couldn't see anyone other than her muse as Hugh and that in no way detracted from my enjoyment of the story...quite the opposite in fact, believe me this story played out in glorious techni-colour in my head...amazing!"

4 Hearts for The Vampire's Madam

Sizzling Hot Book Reviews

"The Vampire's Madam is a quick, sizzling read for all vampire lovers out there. Not quite as kinky as some of L. Rosario's other stories, this is still sexy enough to keep the heat wave going long into autumn. And L.'s keen insight into what might have happened with those of mixed descent after England invaded India made me pause and think. The Vampire's Madam is a great addition to L. Rosario's collection."

RELEASE DAY!!!!!

Not only is Janna Cutting scorned by Victorian Society for her Indian blood but also because she owns one of the city's most profitable brothels. As madam she possesses wealth and independence and still she longs for one thing, the mysterious Hugh de Troyes. Yet, week after week, he treats her as nothing more than the proprietor of Keya House.

Fueled by jealousy, Janna decides to play voyeur during the handsome Frenchman's visit. What she witnesses leaves her aroused beyond endurance and privy to the knowledge that Hugh is far from satisfied. He deserves a woman willing to see to all his needs, a woman willing to bleed. Janna is that woman, but failing to convince Hugh might leave her with a wound far greater than any his fangs could inflict.

Excerpt:
Gripping the doorknob, she backed against the open door and looked up at him. "How does the evening find you, Monsieur de Troyes?" Her own voice sounded foreign, desire and anticipation making it sultrier than usual.

His gorgeous eyes swept over her, hesitating just long enough in the vicinity of her neck to make her heart skip a beat. When they returned to her face, they blazed with hunger. "I find myself currently at a loss for words, Madame."

Janna swallowed then moistened her lips. "Why not come inside, and we'll see what we can do about your affliction." She made to push away from the door, but he stopped her by lightly wrapping his right hand around her throat. He wore no gloves, and his fingers were cold against her skin. She blinked up at him and swallowed against the nonthreatening pressure of his hand.

"What game are you playing, Madame?"

"No game. I've sent the girls away. I am the only one here to see to your needs tonight." She hadn't planned to issue such a bold verbal challenge.

Oh so provocatively, his fingers stroked her throat. "All of them?" In that moment, she was aware that he knew she knew his deepest, darkest secret. The look in his eyes issued a counter challenge, daring her to accept.

"Oui, monsieur. You need only ask."

"Damn you, Madame, why the devil has it taken you so long to offer?"

Movie Recommendation

Blurb: Rango is an ordinary chameleon who accidentally winds up in the town of Dirt, a lawless outpost in the Wild West in desperate need of a new sheriff. imdb.com

My thoughts: This movie is BRILLIANT!!! Not only is the animation stunning and unlike any other movie I've seen, the characters are unique, the plot is involved and the whole thing just ends up being a weird, dark, sometimes creepy, sometimes crude adventure that I look forward to seeing again. I don't recommend this for young kids even though it's rated PG. Should be PG-13, if you ask me.
