February's Regrets and Itunes and Barnes and Noble links

Well, it’s a little later than I’d planned, but technically still a September release! Book four in the Larry Macklin mystery series is available now available on Amazon.

Also we've gotten all of the books in the series on iTunes and Barnes and Noble now! With my wife and I doing most of the work, it sometimes takes us awhile to get our ducks in a row :)

description

Following his resignation as an investigator with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Larry Macklin is working part time as a reserve deputy and trying to decide what to do with his life.

He’s drawn back into investigating against his will when his friend, Shantel Williams, asks for his help to find her missing niece, Tonya. While Larry initially believes that there’s a reasonable explanation for Tonya’s lack of communication with her aunt, it quickly becomes obvious that her disappearance is part of something more serious. The Swamp Hacker, a serial killer who stalked Adams County fifteen years ago, has returned and is killing again.

Unable to resist the hunt for a predator that eluded the sheriff so many years ago, Larry agrees to assist with the current investigation. It becomes a race against time as the murders become more brutal and more frequent. Will the killer escape justice a second time?

Be sure to like my Facebook page for additional updates and information about the books and please consider leaving a review on Amazon once you’ve read the book.
Cheers!

Hurricane and February's Regrets

The hurricane made for a crazy week in north Florida, but everything is back to normal now. As you probably saw in the news, the first hurricane to hit the state in eleven years plowed through the panhandle a couple of weeks ago. My wife and I were lucky—our property was just on the western edge of the storm, so we didn’t see anything other than a bit of wind and a few inches of rain. But Tallahassee took a big hit, with lots of downed trees and powerlines—many of our friends were without power for two or three days, some even for a week!

We’re just grateful that the storm wasn’t any larger and that the damage wasn’t any worse than it was. There’s a lot to love about living in Florida, but it definitely comes with a few risks.

Coincidentally, it has always been my plan to have Larry Macklin experience a hurricane at some point in the series, so I’ve been taking lots of notes!

Hopefully, my wife and I will get better at all this book launch stuff. Hope everyone enjoys it. Cheers

Daisy muse and model

Daisy looking pensive

Larry’s cat Ivy from the Larry Macklin series is a clone of one of our three indoor cats, Daisy. (There are ten more outside – we do live in the country.) Daisy came into our lives as a young single mother living rough on the streets of a small town. We thought she was truly feral, but from the first moment she was invited into the house she never looked back. Daisy is happiest when she’s curled on my chest…usually kneading her paws and drooling. She expects regular cuddle time during the day and it’s taken her a while to adjust to my writing schedule. I gave her this bed beside my desk and that has helped a little. Actually, she is an excellent muse.

Larry Macklin Mysteries: Grendel the model for Mauser

description

Mauser – Anyone who knows me or my wife will instantly recognize Mauser. His size, his color, his stubbornness, his silly demeanor and people’s reactions to him were all drawn from experiences with our own Great Dane, Grendel, who was a large part of our lives for over ten years. We took a slightly more serious approach to Grendel’s training than Sheriff Macklin does for Mauser, but that’s the only real difference. Grendel traveled everywhere with us, “worked” as an animal-assisted therapy dog, and left a trail of smiles and laughter wherever he went.
