Favorite reads of 2016?
So, despite 2016 being full of lots of crappy stuff, I’m happy to report that the romance book world still managed to delight.
Here are my favorites of 2016, in no particular order:
Author Anonymous by E.K. Blair (GAHHH so good!)
Win Some, Lose Some by Shay Savage (I keep pushing this book on anyone who will listen)
Neighbor Dearest by Penelope Ward
It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover (I even bought multiple copies for friends)
RoomHate by Penelope Ward (#trending)
Us by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy (Fav m/m series ever!)
The Score by Elle Kennedy (Dean!)
Not published in 2016, but still books I read and loved this year include: Transcendence by Shay Savage, Surviving Raine by Shay Savage (notice a trend here?), Me Before You by Jojo Moyes, and On the Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves.
What were your favorite reads of 2016?

I love me a good podcast. Thought I’d share some I’ve enjoyed lately…
Kobo Writing Life Podcast crosses genres, and their offerings in romance don’t disappoint. Here’s a great interview with Tessa Woodward, senior editor at HarperCollins. And a super fun Q&A with bestselling author Melody Anne.
Smart Bitches, Trashy Books is a giant in romancelandia, so it’s fitting that Sarah Wendell has her own podcast. I practically convulsed when I heard she was interviewing Hugo-nominated Chuck Tingle on her show, and you can listen to the fascinating interview here. I also love her ability to totally geek out with authors, like on this recent podcast with Molly O’Keefe.
(Sort of) outside the romance genre, I love Sarah and Vinnie’s Secret Show, and recently listened to this vintage (2012) podcast featuring an interview with erotica author Jaye Shields.
Do you guys listen to podcasts? I’d love to hear your recommendations.

Documentary: Love Between the Covers
Have you guys seen Love Between the Covers? It’s a new documentary about the romance industry. I just streamed it from Amazon and really enjoyed it. I was really pleased they covered some of the often over-looked parts of the industry, including Indie publishing. Plus, there were plenty of authors speaking about their work, so it’s great if you’re more of a fan than a writer (cough-Beverly Jerkins, Eloisa James, Celeste Bradley, Susan Donovan, Jennifer Crusie-cough).
Here’s a great article by Jessica Luther on it or you can stream it here .
