I wish I'd remember to update here, really.

I won NaNoWriMo with Mercykill 4 and I did it in 16 days with 108,703 words. Crazy right? Don't think I'll beat that record for a long time, if ever.

Working on some new stories. Sold one to Torquere Press called Beneath an Emerald Sky and trying to get another short finished for them tonight.

Speaking of which... maybe I should go do that.

Speaking of it being a long time

I really need to try and update over here more often, seriously.

I have a book coming out through Silver Publishing on November 24th, its the 'reimagined' version of the book formerly called Let it Snow which is now called Rocky Mountain Christmas . It's now a light paranormal story--no bad guys but lots of fun with magic, ghosts and psychic powers--and I feel the story is much stronger for the addition of those elements.

In other writing news I've sold a new series--yeah I know, yet another one but this was the publisher's idea--to Total-e-Bound. The story is called The Strongest Magic. No release date yet, but it should be out sometime for Halloween 2013 since the theme is 'Wanton Witches'.

I'm back to writing the Mercykill boys, and will be doing their 4th book for this year's NaNoWriMo. Speaking of which, I better get going since I still have some work to finish on book 3, Sinner.

Yeah I know, it's been a long time

...since I did any reviews or posted to my GoodRead's blog. Since my last post I've finished and sold an old western paranormal romance titled 'In the Heart of Love' to Liquid Silver Books. I've also finished writing the Dragon and Fenyx series and got to work on the ending of Through Neon Eyes--at least I think it's the ending... I suspect the characters, especially Bells, have other ideas.

I've also managed to read a huge pile of books which I'll be posting reviews on now and then. No promises as to how long the reviews will take since there are close to 50 books sitting in my 'already read' heap.

Oh, and my domain is finally back online after close to 4 years without a working one. You can see it here.

I'm still swamped with work

A lot of it for Shadowfire Press of course. Finding images for all the books we have coming out is proving a real task because most good images have been used over and over so many times it's not even funny. Or maybe it is.

The Paranormal m/f western is finally picking up steam and crossed the 42,000 word mark. Just another 38,000 to go and it will be done. It has to be done by the end of this month, because it's due by then.

I'm also working on the 8th book in the Through Neon Eyes series, Power 3 which is supposed to be out in July.

And I'm well overdue to write some reviews, if I could only find the time.

And I'm still busy...

But that's nothing new for me.

Shadowfire Press continues to take up a great deal of my time.

I'm also working for Tom, writing content for his naughty gay video site, which is fun, and not really like work.

Still working on the western paranormal m/f for Loose Id, though that's been stalled for a couple of weeks now.

And, I'm also trying to figure out how to finish the Dragon & Fenyx series now that Auburnimp has retired from writing.

Oh, and I've also done some reading and as soon as I find the time to do the reviews I have about 20 reviews to write. Yes I am way behind on that too.

March 3, 2011

Busy busy busy

There just aren't enough hours in the day to get everything that I have to do accomplished. Unfortunately this means that Shadowfire Press takes up the bulk of my time and writing gets what time remains.

If I can get ahead on some of the SFP stuff then I'll be able to devote more time to getting books finished. I have to say as much as I enjoy publishing, I miss the days when I could knock out a book in 30 days or less.

I have finished reading a ton of books, but haven't gotten around to posting my reviews. I'm going to try and get to that this weekend, if possible.

Anyway, that's about it for now. Oh, no, wait...

New releases up at Shadowfire Press. Raine Delight's Easter themed Fantasies Unbound and my own Through Neon Eyes 7 are available for purchase.

Haven't updated in a bit

I did win NaNo for my fifth year in a row, but the book--a horror novel--remains unfinished. I will be finishing it, but I'm working on the next Through Neon Eyes book, and on a paranormal old west male/female erotic Christmas romance for Loose Id.

I'm also trying to write two other stories for their Men of Mystery theme call, one male/male one male/female. I have both of them started and an actual idea where the stories are going to go, always a plus.

In other news Shadowfire Press is seeking submissions in all erotic romance genres as well as non-erotic scifi, fantasy and horror.

And now I have to get back to work.

NaNoWriMo 2010-Year 5

This is going to be my 5th year doing NaNoWriMo the insanity that is National Novel Writing Month where you write a 50,000 word (that's the goal) novel in 30 days. It starts November 1st and ends November 30th. This is my fifth year doing it, with four prior wins--though two of the prior books are unfinished and sitting on my harddrive waiting for me to finish them. One of them needs major reworking, the other needs about another 20,000 words to be 'done' and ready to for beta reading. (And I need a new beta reader as my former one 'retired' to become a writer herself.)

I'm really excited about my project for this year. I'll be doing a non-erotic novel, something with zombies because they're what's hot and the craze seems to be building, rather than cresting.

I have a basic plot, a few characters and a general idea of where the story is going. Very general actually since the plot consists of 'people turn into zombies' and then everyone who isn't a zombie has to stay alive. Pretty basic, right?

Anyway, I have a little more work to do on additional characters so I'm going to get that done.

Two days until NaNo starts and I'm anticipating getting started at midnight on November 1st. I'm actually eager to get going on this book, which is something that's been lacking for the last year.

For anyone else out there doing NaNo, GOOD LUCK and may the muse of your choice smile on you.
