Second Hand Birkin Bags at Twice Retail Price

Since it's Heritage Auctions (3rd largest auction house in the world) you can be sure they're authentic, but wow...some of these bags are twice current retail price. And these bags are 2nd hand!  Just goes to show you that a Birkin bag is a good investment!
The bag shown, a Hermes 35cm Blue Izmir Clemence Leather Birkin Bag with Gold Hardware 
is priced at $21,500 - whereas if you bought this today at an Hermes store it would be about $10K (give or take $1,000 do to tax variations)

Mr Lichtenberg says that lovers of his Féline brand wear his "Homiès" hoodies with their Hermès Birkin bags while shopping at the Hermès Rodeo Drive store.
Who knew?
It must be those truculent Rich Kids of Beverly Hills.
While I can't find a photo of anyone wearing a Homiès hoodie carrying a Birkin I did manage to find someone who's wearing a Homiès sweatshirt while carrying an Hermès Kelly bag.
Oh well, there goes the 'hood!

In Today's "The Business Times" (AsiaOne) Debbie Yong writes about Valentine's Day and Concierge Services, specifically mentioning LesConcierges and Quintessentially Lifestyles (among others).
