4 ways to feel extra gratitude for your home this spring (and some recent home photos)
Obviously the world is a little upside down right now and we don't know what the near future holds... it's easy to feel anxious stuck at home with things up in the air. But (with some effort), I've been feeling really grateful for our (fixer upper) home and am finding extra beauty and appreciation for it, particularly as spring comes.
4 ways to feel extra gratitude for your home this spring
1. Celebrate the changing seasons.
Whether it's still snowing outside or it's 80...

Fave incredible Instagram accounts with less than 5k followers!
I've been so impressed by Instagram lately. I see some accounts posting beautiful images all the time, genius DIY projects, some with great blog posts to go with... I really wanted to shout them out!!
Here's a list of several fantastic Instagram accounts you will enjoy following and watching!!
First, LeeAnn at @knives.walking. She has been killing it lately! She recovered and recaned some vintage side chairs, has painted wainscoting and her fireplace, and is doing lovely styling mixing...

Complete basement reno plans, bids, budget, and more
Ashley is planning a HUGE basement renovation - every square inch, plus some (adding really large egress windows, exposing the exterior foundation wall, and more) and its taken her a while to get bids in order and define the scope of work. Shes sharing what shes learned this week on the Your Home Story podcast, and things youll want to keep in mind if you ever do a project like this!

My fave maternity brands, tips, and affordable wardrobe/wishlist
My first pregnancy, I was too thrifty and didn't get many nice maternity pieces that I felt good in. Not this time!! I'm still shopping affordable sources but I've bought myself four new pairs of jeans that I love (big upgrade from the super cheap ones I had before), made sure I had enough maternity yoga pants, and am enjoying some pieces I can wear after pregnancy too (like comfy but cute wide shoes).
I've had some questions about my fave brands for maternity pieces, too. Sharing those...

How to choose mats and frames for art (custom framing, original art, and more)
Trust me, cause I've over-thought this before!! (And in the past, not given any thought to it!) Using design principles and putting effort into frames and mats can really elevate the art in your house. There are so many options--and it's good to mix (carefully!)!
From linen mats to no mats, grid style frames to thrifted frames, tune in to the Your Home Story Podcast to figure out how to mix and match frames to create unique style and groupings at your house.

Spring bedroom update! Linen sheets, striped rug, and more
We "finished" our bedroom in fall 2018 here--custom DIY slipcovered bed, window coverings, cool light fixture, matching nightstands and lamps, vintage-look rug... and then I did some rich textural wintery updates here. I love bedroom decor and am always excited for a seasonal update. I upped the quality of the pieces I brought in this time, too. And guess what, I am more in love with this room now than ever!!
Thanks to Magic Linen for providing our linen sheets and cotton blanket!

What to expect when replacing a roof
As you may know from my Instagram stories or updates I've shared on the Your Home Story Podcast, we just had our roof replaced. Yikes. It was quite expensive, but very necessary! I have lots to share about how why we knew we needed it replaced, why we knew it'd be expensive, why we did it even though we might sell in a few years, how we went about it...
Sharing it all this week on the podcast! Roof replacement sounds expensive, slow, and scary. I just went through the process on my...

20 week pregnancy update and gender reveal!!!!
Halfway through!! Such an exciting milestone (I am so happy to be pregnant but at the same time, not enjoying every minute of it! :P), and we (finally!!) had our 20-week ultrasound yesterday and found out the baby's gender!
20 weeks, second trimester update
The bump is showing, the maternity jeans and yoga pants are all in rotation, but I'm still wearing normal tops and just feeling a little awkward most of the time. Due to the COVID-19 isolation measures, I've been working from home the past 2...
