Tuesday’s Tips: Podcasts: Hip or Hype for Book Publicity? — Guest Post by Kathlene Carney

Kathlene Carney

I’ve been looking for new ways to build my author platform, and one avenue I’d like to explore in more depth is podcasting. Not doing my own—although that is on my list for later!—but being a guest on someone else’s podcast.

So with that in mind, and having only a rudimentary knowledge of how to get on the podcast hosts’ list of guests, I reached out to Kathlene Carney of Carney & Associates for some information.

Tuesday’s Tips: Overcoming the “What-Ifs” Fears That Can Hold Us Back From Writing

Image from Pablo

So here we are, in a new month, a new year and a new decade. I don’t know how your New Year’s Day started out but mine was different. Really different.

My Writing Goals for 2020

Image from Pablo

With 2020 just a few hours away, I thought I’d use my last post of 2019 to review what I’ve accomplished in the past 10 years and, more importantly, what my goals are for 2020 and beyond.

Making a list, checking it twice…

This time of year, I, like most business owners—and that’s what I am, twice over: as a full-time freelance writer and an author of five books (a business in and of itself!)—have been making my list and checking it twice.

No, not my list for Santa but a checklist of what I need to do next year to continue to grow my dual platforms.

Not that I haven’t been reviewing and revising my plans throughout the year, but with all that was going on, I haven’t been able to do it to the depth and breadth...
