ABOUT JULIET MARILLIER
Juliet Marillier was born and raised in Aotearoa New Zealand. She is a graduate of the University of Otago and has had a varied career that included music teaching and performing. She now lives in a historic cottage in Western Australia, where she writes full time.
Juliet’s historical fantasy novels and short stories are published internationally and have won numerous awards.
She is the author of twenty-four novels, including A Song of Flight (Warrior Bards), the Blackthorn & Grim series and the Sevenwaters series, as well as two collections of short fiction: Mother Thorn and Other Tales of Courage and Kindness and Prickle Moon.
Juliet loves mythology, folklore and strong, complex characters. She is a member of the druid order OBOD (the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids.) When not writing, Juliet is kept busy by a small crew of rescue dogs.

A bit about Tyler: He's the author of When Fire Splits the Sky (2022), a novel, and To Drown a Man (2020), a poetry collection, both from Unsolicited Press.


His writing has been nominated for the Rhysling and Best of the Net, and has appeared or is forthcoming in Asimov’s Science Fiction, F(r)iction, Janus Literary, and the NonBinary Review, among others.

A bit about Carissa: She grew up in a small Eastern Kentucky town where she fell in love with storytelling in all its forms and began teaching high school English in 2008 near her hometown, where she remained for ten years, before relocating to Phoenix, Arizona where she made the switch to teaching middle school.
In 2021, Carissa left Arizona and returned to Kentucky to continue teaching middle schoolers.
She lives in Louisville with her miniature schnauzer puppy named after Leonardo DiCaprio and one too many books.
