Review - Legionarii - Europa Rex
Good day everyone!
I have been at Wondercon this entire weekend, my legs are pooped, but it was a blast! I always get sad at the end of these big cons, some times I wont see some of these folks again for a long time. In this age of having more friends online than in person, it can be a blow to the heart.
While at Wondercon, a new review of mine got published at Heathen Harvest: Europa Rex by the martial industrial group Legionarii. This was a very harsh review by me, and has generated some dialog. I think that is great! Nice to stir the pot.
I hope yall consider reading the review here:

Review - Lupi Gladius - Veritas
Good evening everyone!
I was at the Long Beach Comic Expo all day yesterday and today. I am pooped! It's not Sunday evening, and the work blues now set in.
On a positive side, I just had a new review published at Heathen Harvest. This time I reviewed the album Veritas by the Italian military pop band Lupi Gladius. Check it out!
http://heathenharvest.org/2015/03/02/lupi-gladius-veritas/
Those who follow me on Facebook, expect to see lots of comic con pictures and news articles going up in the next couple of days.
Cheers!

Essay - Porta Vittoria/Sonnenkind - Die Bruecke
Hello!
I have a new review/essay up at my blog:
http://heiligetod.blogspot.com/2015/02/reviewessay-porta-vittoria-and.html
This one is about the digital single/song "Die Bruecke" by Porta Vittoria and Sonnenkind.
I'll confess this was an awkward essay to write. I didn't do much research, leaving both projects to giving me their insight and production notes and I simply assembled them into a narrative. The politics of the bands though - Eurasian Artists - still leaves me at unease at times, but on the other hand, if no one approaches these songs and albums seriously, who else will?

My friend Beth Cato has been invited to be part of an upcomming Tales of the Weird Wild West Anthology compiled/edited by Danielle Ackley-McPhail - but only if their stretch goals are met. I whole-heartidly support this kickstarter, so I am hoping yall can take a look at and perhaps consider contributing.
Here is the link to the kickstarter, thank you very much in advance!

2015-01-02 - Neofolk year in review
I have a new blog up at Heilige Tod.com - this one giving my impressions of the neofolk/martial releases I procured during 2014. It's not an academic essay this time around, mostly a fun one - but take a read!

2014-12-13 - Testing Blog Functionality
A first blog entry at Goodreads, to test the waters of its functionality. I’ll confess at the exasperation at trying to maintain another website and another form of social media.
I signed up for Goodreads a few months ago, but without any real reasons. However, since having an essay published in a book, I feel it became somewhat more responsible to setup a Goodreader Author profile here and see what Goodreads has to offer to try and legitimize myself as an author.
I’ll confess that I am not certain how I’ll utilize this blog functionality, considering one essay in one book hardly merits a ‘true’ blog here at Goodreads, but I’ll suss something out.
Until then, the best way to read my news is at http://www.nickdiak.com , which is a hub of sorts for all my projects.
