Midsummer magic!

Yesterday I was working away and thought it was about 7ish, but when I looked at the clock it turned out to be nearer 10PM! It's midsummer. How did that sneak up on me so fast? Well, I've been distracted and busy. I love this time of year, and I'm glad I looked up from the PC before it whooshed by completely. ;) Happy Summer Sostice!

In writing news I've reached the two-thirds mark with THE HARLOT, my second Spice novel. My plan is to get the first draft done over the next couple of weeks. T...

Parli Italiano? RAMPANT in Italy!

I'm excited! RAMPANT is now available in Italian! I've had several short stories translated, but this is my first full length novel translation. Seems like a good reason for a party, si..? :)

An online translator seems to think the title, SORTILEGIO D'ESTATE, means Summer Witchcraft, or Summer Spells. Any Italian speakers out there who can confirm that for me?

Anyway here is the blurb, and then the online translator's version - cos they are always good for a laugh and this one had me in stitc...

Hi honeys, I'm home!

We're back from the Lake District where we experienced just about every type of weather in just a few short days. Regardless of the typically unreliable conditions we enjoyed amazing scenery and a long overdue break from being on a computer all the time. I've refilled my creative well, which is good news because the next 9 or 10 weeks are all about meeting deadlines.

Came back to lots of good news and a major bummer -- my website had been hacked. Nasty peeps! :( We've got it all sorted and run...

Publication day: SORCERESS is now available!

In an ancient world where magic is within the grasp of every soul, a passionate and forbidden affair threatens the stability of many lands.

The Empress Elishiba has vowed to protect her people, even if it means marrying an enemy. More great feedback for RAMPANT!

Susan Rix has reviewed RAMPANT, and she has some super things to say!

Susan's rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rampant is Saskia Walker's first novel for Harlequin Spice and my first Spice read.

Phewww! There's nothing like jumping in at the deep end and the author does this with the very first words of Rampant's prologue. This leaves you in no doubt that you're reading erotic fiction. Yet, as with all the stories Saskia Walker writes, there's much more to them than their erotic nature... Read full review...

INESCAPABLE is up for book of the week at Whipped Cream!

I'm gradually clawing my way back to the land of the living after the flu from hell. Thanks to all those who sent me lovely get well messages! They really helped.

My work schedule has taken a bit of a knocking, alas. I've had to cross a couple of things of my to-do list, calls I was hoping to sub for, and I've had to negotiate a small extension in case I need it with one of my epub editors. Not good at all, but hopefully I can pull things around. My schedule is a perfect fit until something g...
