For The Children

August 27, 2013

…that time on Solomon Sparrow’s Electric Whale Revival Tour

at Terra Nova High School

when we snuck in on photo day

and claimed to be faculty….

Room To Resonate

August 19, 2013

Bags of chips were passed out by Seattle P.D. over the weekend at HempFest

with this sticker stuck to each one:

Big thumbs up and a smile, SPD.

The Contender

August 18, 2013

Pretty confident I do three things better than most:

1) Catching grapes with my mouth.

2) Chugging rice milk.

3) Cracking my shin against inanimate objects by accident.

Nigel Axon

August 16, 2013

…My town knows that there is something so big inside of all of us

we have to suck

just to distract you from being directly overwhelmed by our real power,

the kind of power that makes you smile.

Everybody knows that smiling is for little girls, the gays,

and certain kinds of fish

who are smiling by accident….

Remorse Code Cracker

August 15, 2013

If you’re killing people with kindness

you’re not being kind, killer,

you’re being an A-hole.

Maybe demonstrating kindness from a kind place works better.

In other news, Steve and me made a fun planter for the front porch.

Tucker thinks it looks too much like not-a-frisbee.

And the award for Raddest Antique Store Superscore

goes to this pair ravishing trophies with removable engraved plates for only $15.

Yes, they are their own award. Do. Bask in the glory.

with sweater options and a pull string that mixes sound,

but it hasn’t worked yet….

Next Life Soundtrack Continued

August 9, 2013

…The next life is being offered to us daily

via live streaming satellite by entitled white rabbits and tragedy addicts

dragging their fingernail file cabinets

across records of the damage my nerves have done,

inglorious preachers of a sensational game.

Sensations are at the root of why we are walking so inefficiently,

warped 45’s with credit card swagger charging up a sad sad path

like Ray Charles singing Seven Spanish Angels to the bottom of the barrel in

broad daylight. Stop congregating in the valley just because an echo sounds good

when it agrees with itself…

From Next Life Soundtrack

August 8, 2013

…There is a next life

and it is my understanding we will not necessarily be binge drinking bros

wearing Greek lamp shades paying for friendships

based on how pornographic our breath smells.

I will not necessarily find myself rationalizing with computer gamers

or overly polite customer service reps

about how much life is lost on alternative realities

or how much violence peaceful people cause.

The results of our language cannot be programmed.

There is no proper way to hide the rampage with whom we have been banking.

There are no words thick enough to conceal the transparencies

in these stories we have crafted

out of loopholes and nothin’ but net…
