2015 Reading Challenge

Okay! I just signed up for the 2015 Reading Challenge here at Goodreads. Probably rather uncreatively, I have decided to read 15 books for 2015. Of course...if I have time for more I'll definitely dig into my TBR pile (which is overflowing!)

First up is a story from a dear author friend of mine who attended junior high and high school in San Diego with me! She writes straight historical fiction. So my first book for 2015 is a Civil War story titled Butternut Tears by Arlene Showalter!

Why Romance Matters

Bobbi Dumas is a tireless advocate for the romance genre and writes articles and reviews for Kirkus Reviews, NPR, and the Huffington Post. I'm privileged to call her my friend of many years. (She's a lot of fun!)

Bobbi invited me to take part in her "Read a Romance Month" where authors post why they think romance matters. Three authors/three essays every day for the month of August. I'm on day #22!

Check out who is lined up each day and be inspired. Did I mention that you can comment to win free books and other swag? Can't beat that! Hope you'll join in for a fun-filled month of August.

Wild West Christmas Book Cover is out!

So excited to see that Harlequin has revealed the new cover for Wild West Christmas! I haven't read the other stories that accompany mine (Dance With a Cowboy)but I sure like that the couple on the front of the book embody the essence of my story. Couldn't ask for more than that!

Back in the Saddle Again...

It has been a long time since my last book was published in 2009! a lot has happened in my life that slowed my writing WAY down. However, I can happily say that I now have a new book coming out the middle of September! Yes! 2014 is going to be one exciting year. The Harlequin Historical team has titled it Dance with a Cowboy and it is part of the Wild West Christmas Anthology.
