“A famous author once said that you can't go home again. But when you find that you are lost the only place to go is home. Remember the way, the stars will guide you. Your heart is her memory & the soul is your compass.
And one-day you will find her again.”

“Human beings are capable of extraordinary things. We can create and we can destroy, we can love or we can hate. Some people believe they have souls. While others think that there is only this. Just this. Reality. The news. Killings, wars, bombings, hate, prejudice. Death.
And death? No one ever dies on television. Only the bad guys do.
Not you. Just them.
So death is without meaning. Happens without meaning due to media. We see but don't feel, we watch but haven't experienced. We can only sympathize. A gun doesn't fire on it's own and a fanatic doesn't just wake up one day and become a murderer. Hate doesn't have a face. Death doesn't have a face. Human beings become that face. All of us everyday. Whether you like it or not.
Why? Because this is a mindset a culture a history. From the time we are children we are taught that this is right and this is wrong. This is what a man does. This is what a woman does. Children emulate the behaviors of adults. Parents, movie characters and just about everyone else. We live in a society based on ideals. We celebrate the intelligence of the human race and then we take on the guises of everything the opposite of that belief we've ever known and support violence, support war. Behaviors that any intelligent race should have abandoned many years ago. We are surrounded by violence, surrounded by what we still are and what we are not becoming. Frankly we are all still just primitives and not capable in any way shape or form of creating a complete and everlasting peace and that's the sad reality of it all and always has been. We're just human. Only human. The good, the bad and the ugly. The evil, the damaged and the sick. The rich, the poor and all the rest of us.
So look at it this way. You can't change the world or make the world stop killing. You can't stop violence or hatred but you can walk away from it all. Violence is a part of being human. But so is love. So? Only fight if you have to. Live peacefully and as a peace keeper and do what you can to make the small part of your own world a better place. Whether that's thru creation, protest, teaching or just being who you are and doing what you do. You can't stop humanity from being humanity and you certainly can't stop all the horrible things that happen around the world everyday. So accept it. Light a candle, say a prayer, donate or meditate, listen to some music, write. But even if the human race isn't everything you wish it could be?
Hold on to love. Hold onto friends. Hold onto hope or whatever religion or belief that guides you through the dark.
Because in the end? You're just human and that's all that you can do. The best that you can do.”

“Poetry is much much more than all of the definitions, theories or explanations that you read or hear about everyday. Poetry is not just a form, a quote or one or two popular poets or pop stars in the media. Poetry is not hip hop or gangsta rap, slam or new formalism, gay or straight, white or black, dead or alive. Poetry does not belong either to the streets or the academics.
Poetry is not always a love song. Poetry is not always about the rain or nature, mountains or castles. Poetry is neither happy nor depressed, a villain or a hero, a lover or a friend.
Poetry is merely poetry for poetry’s sake. But the words are sacred, something sacred which we share.
Poetry is a state of consciousness and the mind.
Poetry is all of history and is the history of being.
Poetry is all of us
Poetry is you.”

“A poet if anything must be a poet and far more than just a writer of words. The poet is the storyteller, the shaman, the jester and the rogue. The poet lives in the world of language and imagination, love, death & obsession and yet still sees the universe in the smallest of everyday things that we merely take for granted.”

“One of the more interesting things you'll notice in the entire history of poetry & poets, art & artists is those useless untalented individuals that call themselves " experts" or " critics" . The sad fact is that throughout that same history people actually were gullible and listened to them and bought their books or paintings. We no longer live in the age where poets were mass- read or rockstars but even now, in the 21st century we unfortunately must still deal with these ridiculous fops who merely give themselves these titles and use this as a tool to destroy or slander, debase or tear apart the works of other more talented poets so that their needy lackluster words will steal the other poets thunder and limelight to make themselves the center of attention. How pathetic is that? Very pathetic indeed. Hence ? We are far smarter than those who once fell for these self centered antics and we have thankfully made these manipulative con artists extinct. POETRY & ART is for EVERYBODY. From different countries, backgrounds and cultures. And the myth of experts or critics has finally been flushed down the toilet where they belong. Their words & voices now meaning what it was in the first place. NOTHING.”

“In my time on earth I've seen death, cruelty & greed among men.
Petty ideals, the belligerent & small. The false worshippers and the scum of the earth bottom feeders. Racists, thieves and even murder. But nothing upon this earth makes me realize that mankind is an evil thing more than the mindless killing and abuse of animals for it shows the base instinct of what a lesser creature, a lesser predator truly is. A creature that kills merely for self enjoyment rather than self preservation.”

“From ancient lore to modern science poets are supposed to be the revelators, the prophets and the seers. Poets are supposed to shine the light in the dark corners where there is none or just a mere amount capable of hope through words . But? What if being a poet doesn't mean any of these things in the 21st century? Are we evolving or are we losing our focus ? In great testaments to the art of writing we make grand statements like " Poetry Matters" " Poetry Is Still Alive & Well" But unless we actually push forth these antiquated ideals and reboot them into the new we really are no longer something that humanity needs.
Reinvent these old ideals.
Write & create in the now.
Renew the waters of creation which we thrive in.
And for fucks sake.
Invoke Alexa if you have to !”

“It deeply saddens & disturbs me when I start to see poetry open mics only open to academics & students rather than a poetry mic that is open to the public, welcomes all & everyone, human beings, people of all ages to read their work. It smacks of a bizarre "primitive form of elitism" let alone it degrades the human spirit and sends the false message to kids that to be a professional writer or poet that you have to attend an over-priced college and have some sort of degree. That's like telling a punk rock musician that in order to join or form a band he needs a degree from Julliard. What completely ridiculous & arrogant nonsense.
POETRY is for EVERYONE.
As it should be.”

“We write because the blank piece of paper and the pen are there. We write because this is our addiction and we are proud of it. Our habit, our drug, our crutch. Whatever you wish to call it. We write because since an early age we felt it deep in our souls and in our bones. The poem must be written, the story must be told and the new myths and Gods are waiting for you to bring them forth from out of the darkness and to bring them into the light of being. You are a creator, so create. You are the writer. So write.”

“I know who sleeps, who walks by night, who thrives and who does not. I hear the music as they waltz under the eyes of the man in the moon, the wind dancing towards the darkness. “The hive mind is boring, small and thinks and works on the same wavelength as stupidity. It elects morons for presidents and still defends their mistakes and crimes out of childish fear and self interest and follows false religious beliefs that have been altered. So if you ever wonder why mankind hasn't progressed as far as you believed it once could have? Blame those who can't count to three correctly without thinking about if it's ok with their ilk to be able to do so. And whenever the hive mind's existence is threatened? They always resort to violence because that's the evidence of pure unadulterated stupidity. These are not independent thinkers. These are unconscious slaves of their own making and an unending threat to a better society and a far better world.”

“Morning. Sitting in the courtyard, coffee. An old pair of jeans and a messed up damaged old black shirt cigarette in hand words being channeled from someplace somewhere nowhere places unknown without a destination. You're an artist without a canvas. The world is your canvas. Your life is the canvas. You've got to at least create something, say something, do something while you're sorry ass still remains tethered to this planet. Some people call this life, some people call this earth while others just call it purgatory. I suppose in the end that it's all up to you. Make the most of it because it ain't coming back around.”

“WRITE.
Manifest power in words.
Write poetry.
Name your own humanity.
Ponder creation thru inner meaning.
Find hidden voices in the universal consciousness of soul.
Find yourself, and then return again.
Poetry is the sacred religion
Of both time & space older than
Civilization itself.
Poetry is dead.
Poetry is living.
Poetry is everything.
Poetry is a language
Unto itself that is understood.
Poetry will never die
It will still appear in places
Long after you are dust
So write.
That’s all.
That’s it.
Write.”

“TIME OUT
Every single time shit happens in history everyone
runs for cover to a church or an underground bunker
fearing death and retaliation slavery or retribution for
being alive or human because human beings keep fucking up our own atmosphere with hate never realizing that this pathetic behavior isn't human at all but primitive bullshit without real reason or soul never learning that greed and money is what every single time has brought us here to this very same place. A bunch of whiny, immature children screaming " Mine! Mine!" in a desperate need for a permanent time out in a prison cell who needs to learn that this shit isn't going to be accepted or tolerated anymore. Ever. The problem is is that you let them get away with it all and followed them blindly and stood by them, did nothing as they took all your rights and are now using your own money to amass more money, more weapons and more toys that they know will keep you from putting them where they belong in a prison cell or jail and in some most recent cases even an insane asylum.
So if this petty, child like behavior is never resolved from day one it's pretty obvious that in every century or country on this planet you're going to get an asshole or two who thinks he or even she is above or better than other human beings and acts out like a pathetic whiny little bitch who thinks they're entitled and doesn't play well with others . So let's all act like intelligent, mature adults and put them in permanent corners so they where they can't hurt anyone and do anymore significant damage. They're not messiahs or wise men.
They're immature children masquerading as competent adults who are the furthest thing from one.”
