I relly loved the Rock Star Chronicles. Will there be a book #3? Book 2 ended with a quest to find his brother. Hope so. Thank you for writing these faith based thrillers that keep me on the edge of my seat. 🇨🇦

Creston Mapes Hi Meaghan, my publisher at the time stopped the series after two books. I was, however, able to bring Everett Lester, Karen and company back to life in my novel SKY ZONE, which is book #3 in The Crittendon Files series. If I ever get to a place where I think I can add a book #3 to The Rock Star Chronicles, I will. Appreciate your interest!

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Creston Mapes My novel, FEAR HAS A NAME, actually begins with a real-life home-invasion that my wife and baby experienced years ago. My wife saw a man outside our home wearing only shorts. He walked along the side of the house and ripped the back porch door open and was coming in. My wife had the wherewithal to grab the baby and run out the front door to the neighbor's house. That was the seed of the idea that I started with to write FEAR HAS A NAME. Thanks for your question!

What books are on your summer reading list this year?

Creston Mapes Just finished non-fiction American Predator, which was well-written and intriguing and informative. Read like a novel.

Creston Mapes The idea came from all of the mass shootings occurring in society.

How do you get inspired to write?

Creston Mapes Good question. When I was under contract to write books, the threat of the contract deadline "inspired" me. Now, as an Indie author, the desire to share the stories God's put on my heart.....that inspires me. Plus, I'm inspired knowing people around the world will read my books.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Creston Mapes Write every day. Whether it's in a journal, on your book, whatever. Also, read about the craft of writing. Be a learner. As writers we all have much to learn.
