Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Marie Vibbert The Gods Awoke started as wanting to write a story of a non-telepath in a telepathic society, but it shortly turned into a rescue of a young man, and then you see the bad guy to be defeated was a powerful telepathic being who thought she was a goddess, and so the story evolved into being about that goddess, what made her tick, why she was wrong, how to find out ... and in the process I worked out a lot of my own feelings about religion in a secondary world setting.

I read your story, "The Plus One" in F&SF--best story in the issue. My 2nd futuristic dystopia, ISAK AI, comes out next autumn. Would you consider writing a blurb? Marie Vibbert So glad you liked the story. I'm afraid I don't have a lot of time for reading at the moment, and if I'm honest, dystopia isn't a genre I enjoy, so you'd do better finding someone else. Good luck!
