Yes. The sacrophagus of Ahiram, King of Byblos is a definite inspiration to the Epic. It is his Epic :)
Great catch!

Yes, Ahiram's sarcophagus was the inspiration for my character, in fact the story of King Ahiram of Byblos has a deep impact on my story. If you're interested, There is a blog post describing our visit to the sarcophagus: http://www.epicofahiram.com/blog/2014...

Hello Abhishek,
Thank you for your review and your question. It is a privilege when someone chooses to read "Age of the Seer," so thanks again.
The second book of the Epic of Ahiram is titled "Wrath of the Urkuun." We just finished the initial review of plot and structure and moving into heavy editing. The editors assure me we should be ready for a September 2015 release.
"Wrath of the Urkuun" picks up where "Age of the Seer" left of. It is a 600+ page volume (about 180,000 words) consisting of four parts.
More to come, so please stay tuned!
Michael.

"The Wretched Race", the third book in the Epic of Ahiram.
The third book of the Epic of Ahiram is were the world of Ahiram begins to truly unfold. This third book is very different than the first two because, by now, the reader has met some of the most important characters (though you'll get to meet some new ones in the third book) and the sixty-two kingdoms are starting to get in focus.
In the third book, the pace quickens further and the stakes are higher. If the theme of the second book was trust, that of the third is madness.
The editors have begun working on the manuscript and we are, once more targeting a fall release. The third book will be slightly longer than the second.
Looking forward to your reactions,
Michael

Being a writer of fiction is like being in front of a Christmas tree every day: you never know what's under the tree but glimpse the wrapped present.
When I write I seldom know in advance who I will meet or where I will be. I travel, moving in and out of places as vivid as the first chocolate ice-cream in a child's memory.
I get a sense of elation, exhilaration and well-being when I write, and for this, I am grateful.

Actually, I have the opposite problem, which I call “writer’s avalanche.” If I stare for more than ten seconds on a specific image in my head, a new thread of the story will begin and take a life of its own.
That’s how “Epic of Ahiram”, starting as a trilogy, ended-up as a ten-book series.

A published book is not the end of the story: it is the giftwrap holding the gift you, the writer, wish to give your reader. You want the reader to feel they have stumbled on a hidden treasure, that someone has led them to a corner of the universe they never knew existed.
Write as if Christmas depends on it, write like you would a love letter, a Declaration of Independence, a super-nova exploding, or write like the playful breeze on a perfect summer day. Write like a vengeful storm chasing a lonely ship, a black hole screaming the loss of innocence.
Never forget you’re writing for someone, not just about something. Writing is not about you. Your story must be a gift, freely given, no strings attached, a song across the ages, a shared lament or a joyful reunion.
Write to light the universe.

I sit in at my desk when it’s quiet and dark, and let a music stream play—usually classical or minimalist jazz. I like to write with a hot cup of coffee or tea. I close my eyes. The screen widens and the movie begins where it has left off.
Then I am running like a cowboy chasing a wild bronco.

“Epic of Ahiram” has been my constant companion for as long as I can remember. It has always been more than an idea, really. I wrote the initial version in French when I was sixteen and rewrote it in English much later.
Like most stories that live in my head, I stepped into it serendipitously. The story has carried me onward, and I became its scribe who feels compelled to share what he hears and sees.
