I read a lot, not necessarily my genre either. I walk a lot, I love beautiful country side. Life and my family inspire me. Most of all music is what inspires me the most. I listen to a vast array of different types, classical, pop, rock and metal.
If I have a particular scene to write, I will chose my play list to what will evoke the right emotions within me.

I love historical novels but what I don't like is how poorly girls and women were treated throughout our history. Yes, I know there are plenty of books that are about strong, influential women, however, after a long discussion with my daughter, who also writes, we came up with a world were women rule. And it snowballed from there.
My first book, introduces the Goddesses of the world we created and gives a little insight to why their magic is effected by dark forces.
