Candace Vianna How can I pick just one? Erin and Kelly from Cara McKenna's "After Hours" would be a top pick. Their both flawed but strong and they know it. Cat and Bones from Jeaniene Frost's "Night Huntress" would also be up there. I like that Bones accepts Cat as a warrior and doesn't try to turn her into a damsel in distress.
Candace Vianna Shortly after the economy had tanked, a lot of folks were experiencing dark times and I was just another face in the jobless mob. Every evening, network T.V. piled on more bad news. Employment was down and home foreclosures were up. We'd gone to war over a pack of lies, and there were mass shootings in our elementary schools. I didn't need any more dark crap in my life; I needed a vacation, and book vacations were all I could afford. So with an abundance of time (jobless,) and figuring I wasn't unique, I thought maybe my special brand of geeky humor could make the lighter one smile at a time... So here we are, and I hope you're smiling.
Candace Vianna Thank you so much for your kind words. Yes, I am working on the second science of loving book... Les and Bob. Unfortunately, I'm dysgraphic, so it takes me a long time to write. If I could write faster I would. I know a lot of my readers are frustrated with my slow pace, and for that I apologize.

I'm also doing the final edits for a black comedy/horror novella that will be published under a pen name (Candace Vianna is my real name) so its not confused with a romance.
Candace Vianna I spent seven years servicing pipettes at biotech research labs in San Diego. I met several "Angie's" during that time. And learned a lot about genetic research practices. Yes they really do use fruit flies to study muscle disorders as well as several other diseases.
Candace Vianna When you think your book is ready, read it again on your e-reader and read it aloud. We're so close to our work, after a while we tend to see what we think we wrote, rather than what's really there.
Candace Vianna Being able to work in my underwear when it's 100 degrees F and no air-conditioning...
Candace Vianna Whiskey... whining... stomping of feet... then more whiskey while I pick a character and start writing or adding to their back story.. often that will spark an idea... although the whiskey is more fun.
Candace Vianna Currently I'm editing a dark comedy novella "Dead Dwight: a dark comedy" that's set in the imaginary town of Coalhaven in North Carolina's Appalachian mountains. I'm also creating the story arc picking up where The Science of Loving ended involving Leslie and Bob, yeah like you didn't see that coming... I'm also laying out a new scifi series Paladin... this one is only a sparkle in my eye right now.
Candace Vianna Unemployment... insanity... menopause.... vanity, take your pick.
