M.A.R. Unger Don't have this problem. I have a hard time NOT writing. My best advice --- take away the pressure to perform. Go with the story, the characters. Do backstories for characters….keep writing around the story until you're ready to continue.
M.A.R. Unger Always wondering which way a character will lead me...
M.A.R. Unger WRITE….put your work down after you've finished a chapter, then start reading out loud. If the dialogue doesn't sound natural -- cut it out, if you're repeating words or ideas --cut. Tighten what you've written and proceed. Get into a writer's group and critiques that tear the crap out of what you've done. Rewrite to a central theme or guiding metaphor, as a UNLV friend says..
